Kicking off April on MMD, resident MMD DJ YelseW is repping the Tunnel Vision takeover as the first artist.

With his latest unreleased new tune that set the vibe for this mix, you are sure to have a great journey with beautiful underground music when YelseW is behind the decks! 

BIO: 

yelseW takes the regular and turns it around making it irregular. He is an avid fan of Star Wars and has some tats to prove it. 

In case you haven't realised already, yelseW is Wesley backwards - and this is the foundation of what is to be known.

His musical adventure emanates the deeper and more emotive side of music. Expect melodic, progressive, and exciting breaks and changes throughout the set. Vocal phrases and hooks are also a must!

His core genres are melodic and progressive techno, but don’t think that’s where it ends. He is amazingly versatile and can flip the switch at any time. You never really know what you will get when he is on the line-up. The only surety is he is going to rip it up.

On the flip side, you can find things slow down a tad when yelseW pulls back the bpm. The downtempo region is an adventure through Desert/Arabian house and deep house grooves.

Kicking off May on MMD, we have a Capetonian to bring the vibe DJ Psyke (Renier)

DJ Psyke holds residency at RUAR(UK online Radio Platform), The Warehouse & The Arctic Disco, and now is here to share his groove with us.

BIO:

Dj  Psyke Aka Renier Theart

I was born in Cape Town but shortly after moved around in South Africa to different provinces. Live most of his teenage life in Welkom Free state where I started playing at 16 birthday parties at a young age. Music like Technotronic Snap etc. I then moved back to Cape Town in early 1993 and became a Metalhead. By the end of 1994, I converted to house music after a one-night experience at Nexis. Hanging around Nexis, G-Spot, Boiler Room, Fresh is to name a few. At end of 1998, he started playing Drum & Bass in Cape Town as a due Itchy & Scratchy. Due to some circumstances, he had to leave the DJ scene.

I returned to the scene in late 2007 and played his fists gig on Adrian G show in the Mutha FM studio in Sea Point. I then started handing in mixes to the after-hour Friday mixes on Mutha Fm and that is where I was dubbed DJ Psyke and the name ever sins than just stuck. I played at a couple of events, Progressive House Verse Psy Trance to name one. I started then playing every Friday at Carnival Court in Loop street, and at 7 on Loop a couple of times. I also played on One Fm with Nick E Louder.  I also strut his stuff at the Sexy Clifton Yacht Parties for 5 years in a row. In 2018 he won the Fire & Ice Dj Battle with a trap Hip-Hop style mix. 

My music style varies from Electro to tech house. I fell in love with Melodic house and Dark Minimal Techno /Techno and am starting to push this more. I found myself on The Beat Cartel playing Melodic House techno and am forever grateful to DJ Jade for the opportunity that she gave me...  

I just want to thank the following people that keep pushing and believing in me: DJ Jade, DJ Gerard A Laatz, Clayton Dunn, Margaux Van Huyssteen and most of all my beautiful Wife for pushing Rietcke Theart.

I am currently a resident DJ for RUAR(UK online Radio Platform), The Warehouse, and The Arctic Disco.

Changed it up a little this month and went with some Liquid DnB.  I find this genre fascinating as it is both upbeat and chill at the same time.  It all depends on what sounds you are focusing on. Her eclectic mix of deep tech, progressive house and techno, gives Jade a versatility that is suited to intimate venues and festival slots alike.

Since entering the studio in 2011, her music production journey began,a self-taught pianist ,since early child hood, was a big influence.
As her knowledge of music and determination evolved over the years, it was in 2017 that she found herself behind the decks, combining knowledge and pure passion of the art, expressing her purest reflection of who she is. 
Jade has recently started adding live instruments too her mixes ,either by adding a harmony, a synth or a bassline. In the end, personal creativity is the limit for what you can do, its endless.
