i've played along to the gorgeous night song of a marsh warbler, which was initially recorded on june 9, 1984 in worcestershire, uk, by Howard Phelps. there's a remarkable rhythmic and timbral variety from a visually unremarkable bird. this species very nearly no longer exists in the uk, though it is not endangered. i found it on the awesome british library of sounds, which you should haunt (sounds.bl.uk). i've slowed it down slightly, to where it felt better to me. drums recorded and mixed by yours truly. enjoy.
