Ace made herself known through her debut EP Glitzer Vs Hass that was released on SPFDJ’s highly esteemed label Intrepid Skin in early 2022. Two more releases have followed since on Anetha’s Mama Told Ya and Ceili’s Mala Adh. In late 2022 Ace introduced her own hybrid label Hardwon.

Valerie Ace started her musical journey in her teens playing electric guitar in an experimental rock band and spent much of her 20s in art school where she turned toward a more electronic sound. Playing the role of a tongue-in-cheek commentator, she draws inspiration from lived experiences of today’s complex dance-floor politics.

In the Studio Valerie Ace likes to experiment and create her own sounddesigns and aesthetics. She has been exploring electronic instruments from her first oscillator - which was a self-made circuit that she built into the back of an electric guitar - all the way to complex modular synthesizers. It is this high level of curiosity and attention to detail which allows the sound of Valerie Ace to stand out.

About the artist: 
AROF, derived from the Mapudungun tongue for 'sweat,' represents the musical project of chilean DJ & Producer Arof. Specializing in Deep, Hypnotic Techno, Arof's approach delivers a multifaceted journey, blending Classic sounds, Raw, transforming natural sounds into percussions, pads, atmospheres, textures, and 3D elements, emphasizing an organic sound palette.

About the EP: 
Moby Dick, is a tribute to Phil Anselmo, lead vocalist of Pantera (voice appears at minute 4), 
who inspires that devastating force needed at certain moments.

Tramposo Experimented in different scenarios seeking an identity that achieved what the author wanted, 
spent some time under one current and then fit better with another, and from there 
the name was born.

Pscytodes Globula, comes from a moment when I felt very secure flowing my ideas and the result I was acquiring, fullness. Suddenly, I was looking at the wall and I see a pscytodes globula (tiger spider) eating the famous 
and dangerous "corner spider", a moment of security that I linked to what I felt at that moment.

In summary, the inspiration for these tracks was to experiment with different emotions, reflecting the duality that we can glimpse between frequencies and events, as well as their inter-relationship

This first EP was made by label founders @lucasvazz and @amadeusjoseph. It is inspired by the social movements that converged across various Latin American countries during the last few years, resulting in a huge explosion at the end of 2019. Dissatisfaction with neoliberal policies, corruption and a lack of a social state, leading to various manifestations.

Within this context the songs "Arto", "El Llamado" and
"Levantamiento Latinoamericano" emerge: These
pieces symbolize the accumulated anger of the people,
who go out to the streets to demonstrate because they
cannot enjoy a legitimate democracy, where their
demands have always been oppressed by a capitalist
state that defends inequality.
To close the EP, there is the song "Plebiscito", as the only
democratic instrument to give a legitimate voice to the
people.

This EP is inspired by the silent contemplation of nature, understanding that when we contemplate in stillness the horizon and all that surrounds us we also observe ourselves, a work full of emotional sounds, breakbeats, and depth, created in a special period of my life, as a method of channeling, artistic self-analysis and experiences, in which I wanted to capture energy and emotions through melodies, rhythm and textures. This ep is a tribute to the landscapes and the horizons.
