Starting out in 2014, Therese Terror is a Vienna based DJ and promoter. She curates several lineups - especially in cultural contexts - and is an active supporter of gender equality and diversity within club culture. She hosts a bi-monthly radio show „Guilty Pleasures“ on the Viennese community radio, res.radio. Also she co-curates the series "DISHES" at Volkstheater Vienna, inviting artists from various experimental electronic music scenes. She is associated with the Vienna based collective BLISS as well as Hyperreality - Festival for Club Culture. Her DJ sets take in a wide range of styles from techno, house, driving acid, D’n’B, jungle, trance and leftfield electronica to pop anthems; fast-paced and full of references to various eras of electronic music.

The rain hasn't stopped in Neo-Kyoto for seven years. It falls in slick, perpetual sheets down the sides of monolithic skyscrapers, washing the neon glow of corporate logos into blurry, impressionistic streams on the streets below. High up on the 97th floor of a derelict comms tower, in a room shielded from the city’s ubiquitous surveillance, Echo works. She isn't just a producer; she is a cipher, a ghost in the vast, oppressive network that governs the city. Her uniform is a second skin of sleek black latex, not for fashion, but for function – its micro-circuitry interfaces directly with the custom-built console that is her instrument and her weapon. Her sunglasses are not to shield her eyes from the light, but to feed her a constant stream of raw data, translating the city's digital lifeblood into augmented reality overlays.

Her studio is a testament to functional dystopia. The walls are stained and bare, but the technology at its heart is cutting-edge, salvaged, and dangerously modified. The air hums with the energy of overloaded processors and the faint smell of ozone. Outside, the city drowns; inside, Echo orchestrates the data rain. The glowing green waveforms on her screens pulse in time with the city's hidden heartbeat – the encrypted chatter of security drones, the ghost signals of defunct subways, the bio-feedback of a million sleeping citizens. She is a data thief, a signal runner, but her stolen goods are not credits or corporate secrets. She steals noise, chaos, and raw information, and she re-encodes it all into the relentless, driving pulse of techno.

Her music is a broadcast, a covert transmission sent out on ghost frequencies, audible only to those with modified receivers – the city's disenfranchised, its rebels, its dreamers. Each track is a coded message. The deep, seismic basslines are a call to gather, a rumbling defiance against the sterile order imposed by the OmniCorp regime. The sharp, glitchy hi-hats are packets of encrypted information, escape routes, or vulnerabilities in the system's firewall, hidden within the rhythm. The synth leads are cold, precise, and haunting, like the lonely wail of the city itself, a lament for the freedom it has lost.
