"I've wanted to do a 100% female and non-binary artist mix for ages so when I got asked to do a guest mix for Not Bad For A Girl, I knew it was time to get it cookin.

I wanted to include producers from as many of my favourite genres as possible which presented a huge challenge; when you're crossing genres you're already quite limited with tracks that will allow for a big transition so by writing off any male-produced tracks, I had to think more creatively about how to make the tracks I had flow well in a mix. 

Doing this mix has restored some gorgeous balance on my USB between male and non-male producers and I'm definitely going to be more mindful of this for my sets going forward."

Having only been DJing for little over a year, Awedinary's sets have quickly become renowned for their versatility and ability to connect with different crowds while remaining unmistakably Awedinary. She has already graced Manchester's most iconic dance-floors from The White Hotel to The DBA to Old Abbey Taphouse to YES and Stage & Radio.

Away from the decks, she is a multidisciplinary artist and founder of Pretty Disturbed which she now co-owns with the iconic Aeon Fux. Pretty Disturbed is a collective which celebrates all things dark and beautiful with women and queer people at the centre; prioritising their freedom of expression in whatever form that comes in; from fine art to sound and from performance art to dance disciplines.
