'Aggelos first approached Lurid Music with the idea for this project a few months ago. We agreed on one condition, that all proceeds be donated to refugee causes, like we did with his Black Sea EP which supported the Syrian refugee crisis. When Russia invaded Ukraine, we decided our focus had to be helping the Ukrainian refugees who were forced to leave their homes in search of safe havens abroad.

We discussed this with most contributors to the project and the consensus was that donations should strictly go to humanitarian groups and not any armament funds. There were also some thoughts about helping conflict-affected peoples in other parts of the world but we decided it was too much to tackle for a relatively small project like this one.

Therefore, donations stemming from the sales of this release will be distributed to the following humanitarian groups currently active in Ukraine or neighboring countries welcoming refugees:

AJOKKI - KOPALHEM

Session made and recorded live, for my colleagues from EutopiaTV, broadcasted in one of their live streamings, in their official channel.
I made it entirely with vinyls from my collection and they broadcasted and recorded it live. The session is exactly as it sounded that day and without any retouching.

For this occasion, they asked me for a session of  Braindance, IDM, Electro, Experimental, Etc..  And I wanted it to sound a bit in chronological order, from the most classic of the beginnings of Idm, Braindance and the first of Bleep Sound, from artists, pioneer groups and labels like Warp Records, Rephlex, Skam Records, Planet Mu, R&S, Arcola, Etc..


From some of my favourite record labels, producers, groups or artists of all times and the ones I have been listening, collecting and playing all my life, along these forty one years (41), such as the pioneers and mythical Tangerine Dream, Richard D. James (AFX/Polygon Windows/Caustic Windows/Aphex Twin...), Mike Paradinas aka U_Ziq , The Black Dog, LFO, Bola, Ed Chamberlain, Arpanet, Kettel, D'arcangelo, Etc...

As on so many occasions, I didn't have time to put and include many of the vinyls I had in my suitcases, of many of the artists and labels that I would have liked to include and that due to the time limitation of the session I didn't have time to put even a quarter of what I took with me and what I would have liked to play also in this special session that I made with so much love... Hehehehe. Because the occasion was worth it! And the treatment and affection of my dear and dear colleagues of EutopiaTv.

On this occasion and as I usually do, for years, I wanted to let the songs breathe and sound almost complete in its majority, in its entirety, from its introductions, since I consider and to my personal opinion and personal taste, I have always believed sincerely and from my heart, under my honest and humble opinion gentlemen, that there are albums or tracks that should be listened to whole..
