I originally created this mix in October at Breidenbach Studios for their 10th anniversary. Since this venue is one of my favorites in Heidelberg, I collected all my favorite songs of the last year to give everybody a happy time on the dance floor. <3

It also represents in a way my development as a DJ - combining “the old” with “the new” because I started incorporating different genres that you probably wouldn't associate with the disco sound I usually play and have been listening to a lot lately. But don’t worry, you will get a lot of disco as well. Let yourselves be surprised and I hope you like the podcast as much as I do.

ABOUT YOU AS AN ARTIST

Franziska Frizzante leans heavily on golden-era disco, vocal- and classic house - all in one go & always in for a surprise bag moment. Growing up in the 90s with a huge variety of music genres she listened to excited her selector-mentality to create a fluid and versatile composition that reflects her current state of mind she wants to share with the audience.

In this dreamy mix DJ Chichi (@chiara-elisa-m-ller) is showing her love for all shades of House music. You can find Leftfield, Acid, Disco and Progressive elements in there ascending into a trancy finale - just like slowly feeling spring coming 'til it finally sprung.

Usually DJ Chichi feels at home at higher BPMs and shows in her sets a variety of genres such as Trance, Techno and Breakbeat. 
She is also a Co-Founder of the @xcuseu.kollektiv - founded at the beginning of last year. With their events dedicated to political aspects of club culture they want to create community spaces freed from discrimination and violent structures.
