‘Raya’ is the lead single from Inky Nite's forthcoming three-track debut EP, which was bedroom-recorded and mixed and mastered by Kristofer Harris (Belle & Sebastian, Bear’s Den, Ghostpoet). Named after the Brighton duo's daughter and played as her entrance music at her birth last year, the song is a dazzling concoction of twinkly synths and euphoric hooks à la CHVRCHES and M83.

'Dream Totem' is the latest taste of Inky Nite's forthcoming three-track debut EP,  ‘For Raya’ (out on 15 August). Mixed and mastered by Kristofer Harris (Belle & Sebastian, Bear’s Den, Ghostpoet), the track mixes dark lyrics, euphoric alt-pop hooks and Stranger Things vibes to conjure the ghost of Fleetwood Mac’s 'Tango In The Night'.

‘The Filter and I’ is the final immersive alt-pop tune taken from Inky Nite's vibrant, 80s-tinged debut EP, ‘For Raya’ (out on 15 August). Mixed and mastered by Kristofer Harris (Belle and Sebastian, Bear’s Den, Ghostpoet), the track is about people's relationship with social media, inspired by everything from documentary The Social Dilemma and film Ingrid Goes West to LCD Soundsystem's 'Oh Baby' and the Stranger Things soundtracks.

The Filter and I

Inky Nite have unveiled their magnetic new single ‘The Canyon’, a dark and dreamy alt-pop anthem. Kicking off with driving vintage drum samples, shimmering bass and flooded with nostalgic synths, this record is laced with 80s influences. It manages to strike the perfect balance between shadowy depths and scintillating energy, a twilight tune which is sure to resonate with listeners. Punchy melodic lines and clear-cut vocals elevate the song’s progressive, poetic lyrics which navigate political topics nimbly. Brighton alt-pop outfit Inky Nite have unveiled their second single ‘Spectres’ - the introspective follow-up to their lockdown-inspired debut single ‘Bad Machines’. Bathed in a dreamy purplish haze, ‘Spectres’ spotlights the band’s contrasting dual vocals, progressive songwriting and penchant for otherworldly escapism, taking cues from Wild Nothing, Beach House and Arcade Fire. Against a glacial backdrop of nostalgic Juno synths, euphoric Mellotron choirs and bowed 12-string guitar, the song explores the theme of fleeting time and fast-fading memories.
