In 1985, a musical journey began that would lead to the birth of DJ Scott Durand. The discovery of the music coming out of Europe; New Wave/Electro bands like New Order and Depeche Mode, the early industrial sounds of Nitzer Ebb and, with Front 242, he was witness to the birth of what would come to be known as EBM and New Beat. Growing up in this atmosphere of new music and inspirational artists, it was little wonder that he began a 30+ year career that allowed him to bring all the new music and developing genres to the dancefloors.  He is currently a leading force in the Dark Disco & Italo Body Music movement in the United States and abroad with his weekly global broadcast Dark Indulgence Mixshow.

Umberto is a project by Los Angeles based composer Matt Hill. Starting in Kansas City, 2008, he began by writing scores to films which only existed in the ethereal realms of his imagination, combining influences from horror films of the late ’70s and early ’80s with Italo disco and ambient music. 

Antoni Maiovvi is a producer born in Bristol (UK), now located in Berlin.
Under the alias Antoni Maiovvi he follows the inspirations of Obscure Disco, Synth Disco and Italo-Disco.
He is one of the founders of Giallo Disco.

TL Premiere : Umberto - Exit (Antoni Maiovvi Remix) [Giallo Disco Records]

The new release from Aspecto Humano brings us a 12-inch by Gravedad Cinética, Electro project by Barcelona's Adrián Costa AKA Groovycosta. After publishing on some digital labels, Gravedad Cinética presents Aspecto Humano with Le Flâneur Spatial. 

Five tracks with Electro as the main protagonist, although it's not the only one. Lines with blunt bass, a variety of arpeggios and outer space melodies, are all combined with 808 drums. It's kinetic music that creates a retro-futurist sound landscape with a touch of classic Techno. 

The vinyl will be in stores in the first two weeks of April. It has been mastered by Alden Tyrell and will be distributed as usual by Bordello a Parigi. 

This is a 300 copy edition on 140 gram black vinyl, in black card outer sleeve and black paper inner sleeve.

This weeks mix comes from the French/Lebanese producer & DJ Arabian Panther, who tells the story of a lonely Phoenician warrior living in the desert and fighting against injustice. Warlike marches or ode to the Arabian nights, a single purpose: to highlight, scimitar and teapot in hand, the beauty of a rich and complex culture, too often ruined by wars or prejudice.

Strict Tempo 'Body Heat' Italo Disco Christmas

Ruth García, also known as From Hell or Inmoralia, is a Madrid-born DJ, vocalist, promoter, and music journalist with over 25 years of experience in the music industry. Her journey began in the early 2000s as a music journalist, a path she continues today through her platform Mots Music and as a contributor to media such as Scanner FM. In 2007, she made her debut behind the decks, quickly establishing herself in Madrid’s underground scene with sets at iconic venues like Stardust, Siroco, La Boite, and Specka. Her passion for raw, genre-defying sounds led her to Berlin in 2012, where she found a second home in clubs such as KitKat, Urban Spree, Kater Holzig, Golden Gate, Brunnen70, and Sameheads. After a few years in Barcelona, where she played regularly at Moog, Macarena, LAUT, and Razzmatazz, Ruth returned to Berlin, where she is currently based. As a DJ, Ruth has performed across Spain, appearing in cities like Ibiza, Mallorca, Bilbao, and Pamplona, as well as internationally in Portugal, Italy, and Malta. She has also taken part in renowned festivals such as Nuba Fest, EnsoLab and Paisajes Sonoros (Spain), Extramuralhas (Portugal), Iklectik - Woman in Experimental (UK), and Human Evolution (Italy). Her sets are emotionally rich journeys that traverse cold wave, industrial techno, EBM, electro and dark disco, always deeply rooted in vinyl culture. She has two paralel projects: The Teachers (with Annechoic) and No Trouble In Paradise (with Mia Shadow). As a promoter, she has worked with artists such as Client (UK), Light Asylum (USA) and Le Syndicat Electronique (France), Mueran Humanos (Argentina), festivals as Ombra, and curated the live programming for Asymmetrical Club in Barcelona. Through Mots Music, she continues to support underground artists and experimental sounds, not only as music media, just also as her own label, founded in 2025. Ruth is also a vocalist, having collaborated with Le Syndicat Electronique, Mynationshit, Ivan Smoka, and Tecib, before launching Mann Of Seasons with Swesor Bhrater (Bruta Non Calculant). Their 2022 debut album, The Songs of Innocence, (Unknown Pleasures Records) blends neofolk, synthwave, and new wave, earning comparisons to Dead Can Dance in the French press. She currently fronts the darkfolk project Armadura del Durmiente with Esteban Alcalde (Vacío Perfecto) and continues collaborating with producers such as JG Outsider (Cold Transmission Records / Oráculo Records) among others.
