Polar is a song about being frozen in time, whether it’s remembering the past, ruminating on the present or hoping for a different future. Heartbreak is difficult to handle, and sometimes it haunts a person, leaving them stranded in memories. And yet, sometimes those memories are all we have to hold onto.

"Butterfly Effect" is to me about the impact people can have on us. I think we've all had people in our lives, perhaps only for a short while, that have had a huge effect on who we are now. I really wanted to capture that. It's a bittersweet feeling sometimes, seeing who you are now, and knowing that someone you're not in touch with anymore is responsible for that. But it's worth thinking about. That's Butterfly Effect for me.

The Butterfly effect often comes into my mind. One of my favorite movies, Mr Nobody, Its made a lasting impression on me that’s reshaped my decisions.

It’s almost like a reassuring moment when I ponder it. That all the paths I’ve chosen, and all the paths that everyone else in the world has chosen. We’ve all ended up here in this moment, writing stories, creating our own scripts that intertwine like butterflies flapping their wings, dancing around each other. 

We create a distortion of reality with each decision, each choice pushing us closer and closer to who we want to be. I believe when we consciously make our own decisions. We’re pushed to who / what we’re supposed to be. That’s what it means to me.
