Enjoying this one a lot. Good for a hike perhaps. That background sound has a wonderful effect of feeling like sand, wind, water or some other texture washing over. I would say the only thing I didnt find compelling was the typical sounding drums. this thing needs some orcestral drumms!!!! woudl be so epic!! really like how you used such a wide range of insturments

I believes this needs more, maybe some choir singing. Definitely not as emotional as it as the potential to be at the moment.

Great warm atmosphere generated to this orchestral soundtrack style progression! Composition is good with a smooth flow and dramatic marching feel! Clean mix and good vibes!

Dub interpretations of Primitive Reason tracks.
No Weak Beginning is a re-cloacking of Weakness from Primitive Reason's 2005 release "Pictures in the Wall". One of Guillermo de Llera’s brainchilds and pseudonyms,’Red Shield’ utilizes a modern approach to reinterpret vintage Dub-Reggae remixing techniques, while staying true to the old school spirit of Dub; with a modern tongue speaking an old language of music.

“Axes to the Wall” is Red Shield’s debut album. In it Guillermo tackled a serious challenge by undertaking the painstaking task of sifting through every individual track from Primitive Reason’s “Pictures in the Wall” album, and re-organizing them from the ground up; using the same building blocks to make the 7 songs found in Axes to the Wall.

In this way ‘Weakness’ became ‘Enter the Dragon’, ‘El Caballero’ became ‘The Hanging Horsemen’, ‘Journey to the West’ became ‘Big Death at the Western Front’, ‘Caminos’ became ‘Them Ol Rascals’, ‘Eat My Bush’ became ‘The Burning Bush’, ‘Weakness’ redressed once again as ‘No Weak Beginning’, and ‘In Between’ became ‘Between Two Swords’.

It is interesting to note that Guillermo only recorded and added one track that is not found in the original “Pictures in the Wall” recordings. For it to be a Red Shield album, true to its essence, Guillermo’s bass lines are a mandatory presence.

As is routine with Guillermo’s work, “Axes to the Wall” can be found in instrumental form and with added vocals, as separate releases. This is the instrumental one.

This is a combination of soundtrack music and Chinese hip hop.
The best part is the drop after the bridge. I didn't do as much noise reduction and as many spectral repairs on this one because I didn't want to take away the natural character of the instruments. Duduk is naturally very scratchy sounding for example. I think it was a good decision overall because too much noise reduction made it sound flat and lifeless. I also mastered it a bit louder than normal soundtrack music so people can use this in EDM remixes when I release the stems. Enjoy.
