For us, VISION has always been about pushing the envelope, both musically and artistically. As the tracks unfolded, it became clear that music holds color, and color holds music; the two join as an evolving, gradient landscape of vision, imagination, and technology, connected to our lives—a true Gradient Drift.

A special mention goes to track 2, Construct Dust. Several years ago, Ott visited Don Brown, aka Deviceful, at his studio.while he was in town (they had been in touch for years, and it was great to finally have a proper visit for a few days). After experimenting with some gated chords, DBX compressors, Ott’s incredible bass line, and some backing percussion, a groove emerged. It was just a short construct, though, and ultimately ended up in the hard drive dustbin. Ott believed it deserved to become a full track, so here it is—even if “soon” turned into years. His original bass line is still in the intro, and the final creation stays true to it.
