OldSkool Blues Guitar Backingtrack

No specific comment. Just another try-out to improve some mixing techniques fiddling out the EQ ranges of elements in a track.
Recorded, mixed and mastered all instruments in Studio One Pro with use of IK Multimedia's plugins (Amplitube, T-Racks, Lurssen Mastering Console).  Enjoy the lay-down, easy listening, mellow-ish mood with a nice cocktail or beer while enjoying the sun-down at the beach on a mid summer day ;)

New track, new experiences in mixing and mastering. This one is focused on creating a descent stereo field by using double tracking, panning, compressing and equalising each channel.
Recently I explored and learned some amazing, ear opening, mixing techniques from Hardcore Music Studio.
Again, all tracks recorded, mixed and mastered in Studio One in use with IK Multimedia's Amplitude & Studio Max plugins.
Pretty satisfied about the result, still learning and progressing.

Still studying and experimenting with playing, recording, mixing and mastering for getting better results. Since my first backingtrack upload of The Loner was quite a succes, I decided to make another backingtrack but now of the extended (or live) version.
This time it was hard to transcribe the exact chords from the midi file I used since there are tons of different sources out there but nonetheless I tried to make the best of it (still have my doubts on some chords but scores don't lie, I guess).
Don't let the various rare chords scare you because there are many good tutorial videos on YT.
Besides that, it is still is a beautiful piece of music composition from a great iconic guitarist every other beginning or experienced guitarist should learn because it's worth the time and effort.

Anyways, I hope you like it.

Pop/Rock BackingTrack in F# (Minor/Aeolian)

This is a custom backingtrack I've composed which is in line with the original track. My thoughts on this where to make the backingtrack sound somewhat fuller or richer without wondering too far away from the original track.

I think For The Love of God was my first introduction to Steve Vai and since then (decennia ago) my favorite track to learn soloing over and jam along with while keeping the main parts in place.

Steve Vai is my favorite artist and great inspiration and therefor this backingtrack is a dedication to him.

Alt Rock BackingTrack in B (Minor/Aeolian)

This is a HQ backingtrack for guitarists who want to play the solo part from The Loner by Gary moore.

I've edited and re-mastered the public midi-file by adjusting/replacing the main instruments to more realistic samples instead of basic midi sounds. Also left some midi tracks out that contained fill-in noises which didn't make much sense by replacing them...i.e. the Ocarina and the main solo parts, of course. I believe this is the one with the longer intro, not sure though.

This way I was getting a better qualitative backingtrack than some that are found on the internet. I thought it sounds pretty good (not as good as the original and not exactly the same composition, but...) and decided to share it on Soundcloud.

Like to hear what your opinion is. Hope you like it.

Hi,

I've subscribed to Soundcloud to share my recordings. But also to enjoy, like and encourage compositions from other musicians overhere. 

I've started composing and recording tracks since I was a kid. Originally I'm a guitarist but I do often play several instruments like a multi-instrumentalist. Most of the time I use a midi keyboard to record digital instruments/samples into my tracks. Often I use backingtracks to jam along with and get inspired.

My interests are to share thoughts about recording music and how to learn from really good musicians here at Soundcloud.

I record my compositions/tracks in my compact homestudio which is setup on an amateur base. My equipment is based on an average scale but excellent for me to practice my music. My motto: play with your heart and soul no matter what other say. Expensive gear doesn't make you a pro, it depends on how you understand and feel your music.

I use Ableton Live and Studio One to record, mixdown and master my compositions. My favorite guitar was my black Ibanez (see profile pic) but now is my Ibanez RG 7 and I also own a white Fender Strat and a Custom-build Gibson SG model. Recently I own also a Harley Benton PJ-4 Deluxe bass guitar. So, diversity is there and almost finished to fulfill my dream as a musician (just a real-life E-Drum kit away). I use IKMM's Amplitube 5, Modo Drums and Total Studio Max as DAW processors and digital recording interfaces together with my Behringer UMC Audio Interface, Soundcraft Spirit and Behringer monitoring gear.
Most tracks I post here are composed/written and played by myself and are assigned as projects which means that they are not proffesional but based on a small/medium home-studio setup. 

Some of my hero's and inspirations are:
Steve Vai, John Petrucci, Gary Moore, Joey Satriani, Plini, Jimi Hendrix, Timo Somers (ex-Delain), Robby Valentine, and others.

Some of my favorite and inspiring bands are:
Dream Theater, Seventh Wonder, Arch Echo, Within Temptation, Delain, Epica, John Mayor and others. My musical interest is pretty diverse but my mainstream goes out to Symphonic/Progressive Rock/Metal.

So...that's about it.
Any feedback (like criticism, advise, useful tips)  on my tracks are more than welcome! But be polite!
