St. Petersburg-born Cologne-based producer & DJ Etane makes his debut on the ODD Pleasures. He is the head of the Intertrax music community & co-curator of the Oberwave community.
Etane presents 'Tōru', a new EP that serves as a profound dialogue between electronic music and avant-garde art. By integrating fragments of various art forms, Etane merges two distinct worlds into a singular immersive experience.
Opening up with EP’s self-titled track Ai ‘Tōru’, Etane presents an obscure landscape with hints of italo and techno. Where well rounded lower tones meet excited percussion and organic vocal pads merge with tripped out arpeggios. A fresh and perfectly balanced blend that showcases his signature sound from the very beginning..
Stuttery vocals, impactful drums, bouncy basslines and frenetic synths are the main ingredients of ‘Obsessive’, an elegant recipe ideal for uplifting moments of the night.
Furthermore, 'i.e. Limitations' (In Other Words, Limitations) draws a high speed cinematic story, driving through a highway of smashing drums, catchy melodic synths, energetic arpeggiators and unexpected breakbeats.
Closing up the EP label head Aural Trace delivers a remix of his own. Bringing Ai ‘Tōru’ into a new dimension; presenting a dance floor breaking italo journey. Where a driving octave bass line meets shimmery cristal pads, and high-powered drums. Resulting into a nostalgic neon dream.

El dj y productor madrileño acaba de regresar de su vuelta por USA y aprovechando las actuaciones que ha realizado por allí, lanza el Fata Morgana. Amante de la síntesis, este ingeniero industrial nos adelanta su track más electroso y revolucionario posible, Su sonoridad analógica y vintage no te dejará indiferente.

El concepto de Fata Morgana se basa en los directos de Ispirian en Estados Unidos. Después, de vuelta en Europa, Vasco perfeccionó su actuación y las tomas en directo se mezclaron y masterizaron finalmente en Madrid. El proyecto ve la luz en 2023, tras el impasse global que atravesó el mundo, como una entrega de dos EP: Fata Morgana I & II.

Prolific, sonic visionary Altieri reimagines ‘Phonemes’ with an explosive tone perfectly suited to the club. Using his distinctive floor-shattering low-end and arcane vocals, his remix erupts into the motif of the original after a signature powerful rise. 
Fabrizio Mammarella’s abundant power to lift originals to a bar-setting realm is in full display. His unmistakably infectious arps are in full swing, combining the enigmatic vocal riff of the original with his energetic melodics makes for another timeless reimagining.

Here we go again! The return of the Greek DJ and production duo Boys' Shorts - this time in remixed form!
»On The High Line« and »Dark Room Rendez-Vous« from their first ever release for LIVE AT ROBERT JOHNSON get the remix treatment for even more Boys' Shorts dancefloor mayhem.
First up is Romain FX with his »Pressure Remix« of »On The High Line« and the title gives a hint to Romain's approach: He indeed adds a bit more pressure stripping down the former 80ties fueled track by adding a big big bass line thus achieving a more concentrated punch in general. By keeping DJ City's beautiful cool vocals for their remix they manage to keep the same lascivious quality you find in the original version. We say: Mission accomplished.
The next ones are a real "All in"! Jason nocturne doubles his stake straight away! Two versions for you! Keep it rollin' "On The Highline", or do you like it more acidic? The choice is yours!
Former Chicago-raised and socialized DJ and producer Alinka is next with her version of »Dark Room Rendez-Vous«. We're happy the Ukrainian-born and now Berlin resident Alinka is back for LARJ twisting the knobs just the right way transforming the track into a straighter and slightly darker monster the original instrumental already is. It's a winner, thank you Alinka!
We stay with the same track but now it's Mala Ika's turn. The French producer originally from Guadeloupe throws in a deeper bass drum into her remix and holds this extra energy over the whole six minutes. Mala Ika also adds a happy little synth melody that transforms this typical dark tune into a joyous yet still dark track.
All in all these three remixes can be seen as a beautiful supplement to Boys' Shorts original outing and will definitely find their way to the clubs all over the world.

A long term affair with the label finally leads to Vasconcellos’ debut on Inner Shah Recordings. The Brazilian artist unveils Italo Metálico EP, as a sweaty homage to the Italian Disco classics with a modern twist.

“Italo Metálico” features classical 80s elements, mixed with a robotized vocal, and a pinch of distortion and analog warmth. “Acid Dream” sets the tempo higher, with an energetic approach aimed at the dancefloors. This iconic B-side is driven by an infectious bassline and dreamy synths, that complement the opening track with more energy.

Although the originals were already secret club weapons, the EP becomes even more special with participations of Bizzarro Universe and Mike Sacchetti on remix duties. The Hamburg duo Bizzarro Universe brings in their infusion of Italo Trance with Eurodance, in a fun and chaotic approach, whereas Mike Sacchetti brings in a nostalgic club-driven touch.
