Greek wizard @echonomist arrives on @tautautauofficial with the ‘Modern Wonder’ EP, featuring three original cuts and a remix from @ditian. Echonomist hasbeen deep in the game for a long while and it’s safe to say he is Greece’s top DJ and producer of our times. He is an all-rounder who can DJ, produce and perform live with confidence and panache. After his exciting contribution to Dixon’s Transmoderna release alongside tracks by Ame, Trikk and others, ‘Modern Wonder’ sees Echonomist‘s debut with the TAU family.
Opening with ‘Eyes, the EP gets off to a dramatic start as moody synth lines and a driving bassline take us into the new wave zone. Echonomistdemonstrates his flair for arrangement here, with a carefully arranged track that could almost have been performed by a band. The atmosphere is gloomy and emotive, taking us for a ride into the night as flickering neon reflects off the rain covered streets in a sleazy part of town.
The title track is next, raising the energy levels somewhat with punchy beats and a searing atmosphere. Female singer Iokatsi delivers a brief vocal over the breakdown before the track continues with its melancholy yet heartfelt narrative.
‘The Touch’ follows, taking us further into realms of synth heaven. The main riff is gnarly, with electro-fied beats and a simple yet catchy rhythm. Echonomist adds a perfectly placed synth way up high to complement the low end, creating uplifting moments that juxtapose the gruff bassline.
Finally Ditian’s ‘Snake’ remix of ‘Modern Wonder’ closes the EP. This a deep, dubby rework with heavy emphasis on the bass to begin with. Ditian takes the main vocal and chops it into pieces, using “You’re trapped” to increase the tense, chilling atmosphere. Detuned piano keys add to themacabre feeling as Ditian rolls out a nasty, haunting rework.

'Illusory and YAME are the latest artists to contribute to the Disco Halal Singles Club, releasing tracks ‘Oblivion’ and ‘To The Sea’ respectively on Friday 5th June.

First up, 19 year old Serbian producer Illusory also known as Jovan Vucetic debuts ‘Oblivion’, with the emerging artist crafting his eclectic sound combining melodic techno and smooth indie synth lines. The emerging artist is no stranger to the electronic music scene, having performed at local festivals in Serbia including Guy Gerber’s EXIT Festival imprint.

Electronic duo YAME compiled of Alexandr Seletsky and Victor Kiriyakidi have released their debut track ‘To The Sea’. A dreamy cosmic, funky electro beat which oozes elements of dance music legends Kraftwerk, the budding duo channel their own modern twist with euphoric vibes.

A digital service that will focus on exciting new artists, the Disco Halal Singles Club sees Moscoman continuing to utilise his global brand as a way of promoting new talent. With an extensive back-catalogue with wide-ranging genres that span from the Middle-East to Europe, the Disco Halal frontman has selected music from the likes of Goom Gum, Postig, 8Kays, Pongo, Vlad Jet and Affkt.
Based in Berlin, but firmly rooted in the diverse and forward-facing musical scene of Tel Aviv, Disco Halal label hails from beneath the minarets of the Holy Land. The imprint exists to present a tightly-knit and growing community of musicians and producers, each transmitting their unique musical identity, yet each united by a unique sensibility, as well as a harmonious balance of rhythm and experimentation.
Encompassing elements of downtempo, new-wave and alternative pop, stitched together with a leftfield dancefloor throb, the Disco Halal back-catalogue, filled with efforts from the likes of Simple Symmetry, The Organism and Moscoman himself, has seen the imprint rapidly emerging from the once-overlooked nightlife and club scene of Tel Aviv into the worldwide spectrum.
With the seal of approval from the revered Disco Halal imprint, Illusory and YAME kickstart their promising career with the debut of ‘Oblivion’ and ‘To The Sea’.'

Clash Lion (@clash lion) is the brainchild of Shall Ocin, Terr and Daniel Watts, three different people with different backgrounds, tastes and ideas, but with unlimited love for interesting music from techno to electro, from indie-dance to experimental stuff. Operating since 2017, Clash Lion has already released well-established artists like Anna and Maetrik as well as new and fresh talents.

Our first release in 2021 is Adwer’s (@adwer) Brain-Computer Interface EP, with a superb remix from Fabrizio Mammarella.

 Hungary born and Barcelona based Adwer (head of Bolygó Records) mixes
 Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, Jean-Michel Jarre and Tangerine Dream with his passion for modern dance music, creating timeless tracks that defy genres or classifications. The first track, “Music in Everything”, is an irresistible mix of electro, indie- dance and synthpop, bringing the past back to find a path to the future, with beautiful melodies and 70’s vocoders. “Interface” the second part of the trip, is an introspective, hypnotic and mysterious dance track, evoking Kraftwerk-like pads and dreamy effects to create a dreamlike and cosmic atmosphere.

Closing the EP we have a breathtaking remix from Fabrizio Mammarella (DFA, Correspondant, Permanent Vacation and head of Slow Motion Music) to “Music in Everything”, bringing his unique production skills to the party and giving the track a brand new face, with powerful beats and new sequences, pushing the original idea to a new zone.
