German-Romanian duo Frankey & Sandrino come back to Rekids with the Please EP, landing 10th October 2025 alongside a remix from Echonomist. They follow their 2022 Brainscan EP on Radio Slave’s label, as well as a remix for Denney in 2023.

With an irresistible bassline, smooth melody, and a nostalgia-fuelled vocal, Please is the kind of track you hear as you walk into a busy tent at a festival—hands in the air, energy abundant. Frankey & Sandrino are masters at crafting emotional dancefloor bangers, going a little deeper on the progressive Genie, building up to busy stabs and mind-melting, futuristic sound design.

Completing the EP, the pair call in Greek DJ and producer Echonomist to remix Please. The Innervisions and Exit Strategy artist strips the original back, transforming it into a dark, hypnotic groover built for smoke-lit dance floors.

"The original had this beautiful Depeche Mode 80s vibe, but for the remix I wanted to take it into a different space, closer to the Detroit sound I love, a bit like Carl Craig’s approach. Something more hypnotic and club-focused, but still keeping the emotion of Frankey & Sandrino’s track." – Echonomist

Frankey & Sandrino are a German duo that has been shaping dance floors since 2009 with their distinct, trend-defying sound. With releases on Kompakt, Diynamic, and their own Sum Over Histories, and regular appearances at clubs like fabric and Stereo, they now return to Rekids with the Please EP.

Founded in 2006, Radio Slave’s Rekids has since launched the techno-focused Rekids Special Projects in 2017 and its latest sublabel, REK’D, in 2024. With Matt Edwards as the sole A&R, Rekids has been instrumental in developing emerging artists and remains a trusted home for house and adjacent sounds, recently featuring names such as Harry Romero, Tal Fussman, Spencer Parker, The Hacker, and more.

Kyodai and Exploited go together like bread and butter. The relationship between the Berlin dup and Shir Khan’s local label stretches back four years now, and after a slew of club smashes like 'Music Rises Up', 'Sound Of The Falls', 'Houston In The Blind' and this year’s 'The Clone', they’re back with another certified jam in the form of 'Weekend'. 

The duo’s love of ‘90s house has always been key to their sound, and they have really brought it back to the centre of what they do recently. 'Weekend' bursts into life with thumping kicks and hip-shaking percussion as a filtered vocal snippet builds the tension. Deft organ stabs are slowly drawn in, unfolding into an almost arpeggiated rhythmic pattern that brings the groove atop the deep, rolling bassline. Cymbal rides and snare fills pick up the pace, with a sustained string note building the drama further. Diva shrieks punctuate the sections as the filtered vocal snippet gets drenched in delay.

All of a sudden we find ourselves in the depths of a breakdown consisting of nothing more than an irresistible organ solo and teases of the vocal, the keys worked to their fullest to create hypnotic, hooky melodies and pleasingly phat chords. The beat slams back in as the organ chords loop incessantly, and a second majestic breakdown adds bubbling synths into the mix. We’re talking mid-’90s New York garage/house vibes here, with big drops and effects giving the groove a big room feel.

About the VA :
"10 Years of Exotic", huh? That is the time since the very first release on Exotic Refreshment, and in that time we have come a really long way. 10 Years is a long time... We had ups and downs. We had moments where we enjoyed a small successes, but also moments of doubt. It was hard, but it was worth it. From a "label" with no experience in the industry that initially released only my tracks and tracks from my friends from our town, Leszno (does anyone even know where it is...? lol), we have built something that we can be proud of!

To celebrate this anniversary, we have 12 never released tracks from the 14 artists, with some I work closely for years, some just joined recently.

Chapter 3 of the series includes 2 fresh originals from Severin Su, Itay Dailes and Ben Solomon, and new remixes from Just Her and Olaf Stuut. 

The preparation lasted a few months, but I hope you will like them.

And to end this strange press release or however you want to call it, I would like to thank you all for the support and help over the years! I wish you all peace and happiness :-)
