Lady In RED at Mereleta Auditorium

For Lebogang Masemola, better known as Lebo, music is freedom. She says “It’s music that we can just BE. Whether joyful or sad, music can embrace or alter the situation”  A way of life that is rooted in her origin. Lebo was born and raised in South Africa and presently resides in Hamburg Germany.

Lebo believes that through the gift of music she is able to share, express a feeling and can reach out and touch someone. “When that happens, it is one of life’s most precious moments.”

Lebos music could be from the depths of Soweto or the heart of Brooklyn, for her album her lyrics are written in both her mother tongue Se Pedi and English addressing issues of the day offering a fresh and different sound.

Like Lebo, her music is truly unique!
