In this podcast, the musicians we interviewed discuss balancing their artistic pursuits and projects with the pressures of making ends meet in this increasingly fragmented society. The Innovations podcast returns with a continuation of the question - what do musicians do for work / how do musicians get by? Dans la première partie de cette série, nous avons rencontré des musiciens pigistes - des travailleurs autonomes qui prennent divers contrats en musique et autres avec le but de se consacré autant que possible à leur projets musicaux. Pour cette deuxième partie, nous discutons avec cinq musiciens et musiciennes qui font “autres choses” comme boulot ou occupation principale. That is, musicians with a similar level of training and who identify strongly with their art, but are currently working in other fields. On parle de parcours, formations, priorités…et on entends de leur musique.
