With the new release of „Confident Girl“ Ginny Loon once again displays her musical versatility. Many of her other songs are known for their heartwarming melodies and soft country-inspired tunes. However, Ginny’s „Confident Girl“ may sound light in the beginning, but it quickly emerges into an energetic and compelling track that carries emotional weight as she addresses the prevailing issues of struggling  women in today’s society. This calm yet so powerful song epitomizes the feelings of women facing too many expectations, feeling pressured, angry, insecure, ashamed and unfairly treated. 
The Swiss singer/songwriter imbues her songs with a rare vulnerability. Her voice - in the beginning low, soothing and accompanied by acoustic guitar - turns into tough vocals, emphasized by powerful electric guitar chords as she encourages other women to do the same: to not be quiet but scream and shout until they are heard. - Nina Oeggerli

In this song I humorously address how the universe loves to throw you a curveball now and then. After my "Best Talent" nomination on Switzerlands national radio and booking Shows at some of the countries biggest festivals, or the main-stage of my hometowns favorite, 2023 was on track to be the best year of my career. But life doesn't always go as planned. In the midst of my success, I was faced with a diagnosis of thyroid cancer and an unavoidable, challenging surgery scheduled for September. What followed was a rollercoaster of emotions. In my song "Getting There" I have processed these experiences. It is an upbeat, fun-pop song with a touch of self-irony and it marks the beginning of the next chapter in my artistic journey.

Ginny Loon is a pop and country music inspired singer songwriter who grew up in Winterthur (Zürich) and now splits her time between Switzerland and London. Her debut single was released independently on April 29th 2022 and received rave reviews as well as airtime on radio SRF and many other local Swiss music stations.

Ginny spent her youth perfecting her craft and channelling her passion of music in any way possible. She learned to play piano, undertook many years of vocal coaching, and taught herself to play guitar at 13 (thanks to being an original Taylor Swift fan girl!). All of which lead to her participating at “The Voice of Switzerland” in 2014, where she’s managed to make it into her favourite coach ‘Stress’ team.

After 1.5 years of making music with a band, playing shows and writing her own lyrics, Ginny decided to move to the Big Smoke (London) where she focused on her song writing and attended writing courses at City Academy. Ginny played gigs all across London and would use all and any opportunity to sing including at weddings and open mic nights.

Ginny Loon’s music is written and performed to take you on an epic journey so sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.
