Genning - Mystery Sounds From Subway (Spitzer Ambient Series 2020)

InScape is a series which explores the boundaries of sound and music. Artist @alexandra-sh and myself collaborated here for this one as Perception Management. In edition number five, we brought together a contrast of sounds which barrel over you or prick your brain until it goes fuzzy. Stuttering timbres mingle with confusing yet exploratory melodies over the course of an hour.

Mix 5 is coming from Berlin DJ UNFUNK (@unfunk), who is playing gigs around Göttingen and Berlin for 15 years now, where he has been setting up outdoor raves or played clubs like golden gate. I stumbled upon his solid mixes on SC for a while now. A perfect fit for the series. The Mix consists of super funky house, break and electro cuts. In his words:

"This file is a simulation of a "rave" - a musical gathering commonly practiced in the late 20th and early 21st century, before the great plague. "

pretty specific taste in house (deep, dusty, disco, dreamy but not annoying hipster dreamy, NY/NJ/DT/BMORE/SF), tech-house (2006-2011, drums), techno (funky, slower end of things), $hit I gotta go I could go on for hours.
