Gonzalo Villarreal is back for his 3rd appearance on the Mood Series. After his previous two EP's, we couldn't be happier to hear what he's been up to and get some new output from him. 'Trascendalia' offers 4 pieces of strong techno that ebb and flow while perfectly balance catchy, addictive yet distinctive and dancefloor directed. 'Dhammacor Ascendance' is a techy dub gem. The broken almost electro beat really shines inside these chords that ride and build. 'Synaptic Alchemy (V1)' unique chord work is something to behold. If you are after dub techno that rises but also changes directions, then check out this piece. V2 of this track offers a bit more streamlined version while still really honing in on the hook of the track. Either way, both version are epic! 'Zenithian Awakening' is a wonderful way to close this EP out. A beautiful and soothing ride, this is a fine example of the future of the genre through Gonzalo's eye. To close these masterful pieces with this amazing ending really ties the EP for long replays and plenty of listening time. One thing Greyscale looks for pushing the boundaries is a different color and timber to the evolution of the style. This isn't your ordinary dub techno. Check this out! Available on digital on Greyscale's Bandcamp and other worthwhile platforms.

"Simbiosis is a self-managed, intimate and family event, which takes
place annually in Andalusia. Our values are essentially respect, promoting community and supporting local talent."

Josephine’s Soundscapes is a project comprising sound collages and Dj sets that embrace certain atmospheres of escape and electricity, a collection of random sequences, pensive oscillations, erratic voices drifting across decades (from landscape to living room), nocturnality and a rare, as in slight, intensity. Part of creative cell a_mal_gam_a with deejay Diskoan, spreading its hypnagogic shroud over a number of club nights and special events from its residency at listening club Avalovara. Josephine’s Soundscapes is an experimental incarnation of transversal studio Machines Désirantes Buró, based in Madrid.

Jess Sneddon is a full-time designer, and part-time DJ who grew up on a steady diet of 80s synth pop and punk. Coming from a DIY background, she blends genres from experimental to cosmic chug and hard-edged body music. She’s played at local parties such as Pleasure Planet, Steeplejack label nights, and Obsidian Festival and has supported Peter Van Hoesen, Regis and Helena Hauff. Jess currently hosts Fluorescence on Skylab Radio — a show dedicated to shoegaze, dream pop, and neo-psychedelia.

Tilt Shift sits firmly left of center, a difficult-to-label square peg that unintentionally fails to fit a pigeonhole. Borrowing from the photography term, Tilt Shift refers to two different types of movement, a selective focus with a large depth of field used to control perception. This can be applied to our music policy, tilting the vertical axis resulting in a sharp area of focus without reducing the depth of field.  This movement is often used to avoid the convergence of parallel lines, or as we have come to think of it, it’s where the lines blur.
