Panka Panka is a project devised by Miguel Blanco and Xarlie, from Gameboyz, two thinking heads each with different backgrounds and experiences. Different tastes and ideas but all of them coincide in the unlimited passion they have for music, as long as it is interesting. From techno to electro, going through more experimental material.

They have produced on labels like Melomana Records or Logical Records, they have published mixes on labels like Disco Suicide, Chromatic Club, Feed your head, Sxdns or Honest allies managing to stabilize on a unique terrain, at a time when it is increasingly difficult to sound different, not to mention original or inspiring.

Musically it is characterized by a daring and careful fusion where the melodies and instruments manage to transport us to places where the same can be low temperatures, warmth or suffocation. Panka Panka's technique and knowledge give his productions a unique style influenced by more than a decade, especially those where "rave" culture and more "underground" aspects have been a modus vivendi.

This duo with base of operations in Badajoz, offers us a musical excursion that is based on kindness, evocative soundscapes and experimentation with the most current, intelligent, elegant and subtle dance electronics. The organic and the melodic come together creating delicate soundtracks. Melancholy and suggestion, irony and ease. Atmospheres and warmth. Music to dance without leaving the place.

Mario González is a Mexican DJ/Producer. He co-founder of Discos Sentimiento and Alfa Trigueña (along with Fabio Me Llaman Soltero).

His career began in 2013 in Tepic, Nayarit, a small city in the west of the country.

Its sound seeks to be very basic: mainly percussive bases influenced by the most primitive sounds such as leather drums or congas that African tribes used to express their emotions, simple bass lines and voices that beyond saying phrases predominate. , enrich the rhythm and feeling of each track.

Massey is very much an integral stalwart of Manchester’s underground electronic music scene where he is immersed in music on a daily basis and juggles multiple roles from producer, engineer, remixer, promoter, booker, programmer, radio host, A&R & tea boy (obvs).

He runs his own label Sprechen and oversees an A&R/label manager role for the legendary Paper Recordings as well being a resident at Manchester’s Sticky Heat alongside running a whole manner of club, music & arts related events via Sprechen.

His DJ sets jump genres from house to disco, Italo, ‘jolly techno’ to boogie & ‘weird
Stuff’ alongside his own productions & remixes which have entertained dancers
at gatherings not only at clubs and festivals in the UK, but also across across
Europe at the likes of Barbarellas Discotheque & for Frekuensi Minor in
Jakarta. 

He has DJ'd alongside the likes of Lindstrøm, Optima, Cynthia, Justin Robertson,
Nancy Noise, Rex the Dog, Horse Meat Disco, Hifi Sean, Raw Silk &
Awesome Tapes From Africa and Sean Johnston/Hardway Bros at the seminal night ALFOS which Sprechen promotes in Manchester.

More recently her has developed Sprechen into being more than just a record
label and to be more a hub to nurture new & emerging creatives and where he
can assist and mentor in the final mix & engineering stage of music
production. 

His latest venture has been 'The Thief Of Time', a cross genre studio project which focuses on music away from the clubs and is heavily influenced by a life lived through the 80's with sounds, stylings, aesthetics & narratives all taking place in the semi autobiographical productions.

“For the Feincast I wanted to try and focus on an sounds that are very much in my sets when playing the late set at any Sticky Heat parties as well as at ALFOS but which are also quite easily linked to my sound as The Thief Of Time. Being a child of the 80’s I have a particular findness for sounds that are heavy on synths and packing loads of energy whether that’s fast or slow, stripped back of stacked with loads of layers. Hopefully that is fully represented here!"

for our next episode of our series we are happy to introduce The Argus Effect to you. He's based in Wiesbaden and an absolutely music enthusiast. His music style ranges from vintage Italo, proto-house, and Chicago acid house as well as techno and electro. This variety and his experience of 25 years as a DJ makes him an expert in the game. Originally he's from Texas in he US where he made his first steps in the scene by hosting events and playing alongside some stunning artists. Now, he's working in a record shop in Wiesbaden where one of our members met him.
