If you think about it, it does all add up to one thing. It can be love, but it doesn’t have to be. It’s just the blues.

13th Bit Blues - Vox - Pan - 333 - 33 - 3

“12 Bit Blues” is a collection of... well, 12 blues tracks cut up and put together by Kid Koala, playing each part in real time using the pads on this out of date sampling machine called the E-mu SP-1200.

Took this a little further and played a live routine using all tracks on the album, making up a new story.

The result is a raw product with an odd and strangely immediate sound, much like the music it draws on for inspiration: the blues.
