Review of EP "Missing Galaxy": Possibly not like many others musicians, Sandris Gravans a.k.a. ReoR prefers a momentum creative process over long term composition, and instead looking for music, he lets music to find him. Tracks we present under this release were recorded completely live in early 2001, using just one 4-Layers "Yamaha CS1x" and a MiniDisc recorder. Sandris used regular school notebook to write down the score, as powerful multimedia computers were not available at that time. We at INQB8R are amazed how this record keeps the feeling of life, and did not become outdated even for almost ten years, like bringing strong atmospheres and moving meditative rhythms through time. It's a very unique, elegant and intimate recording, requiring the same listening conditions.

Review of EP "Operation Buffalo": A perfect example of where quite an amateur achievement could go: this EP was recorded over two summers of exam revision procrastination, and it gives the feeling of smoothly arranged, still pure home work, which could be performed almost by everybody interested by music. Some songs are mostly about little things that happen in author's life, some aren't about anything at all. It's like when you put a seed without big plans to see how it grows; but when you return within a year or so, you see that it growed into the small tree, which continues to go higher for a long time. "Operation Buffalo's" debut is like about a soundtrack to the growing tree: it starts from the deep darkness, get a stable ground and power, then reaches even higher, until it touches the atmoshpere, and makes a new seed from itself.

Review of EP "Sc": "Sc" is an exceptional piece of sound art recorded by "Sebo de Tripa" coming from Riga, Latvia. Intentionally, the project is about "anti-music", or the non-standard sound perceiving and manilupation, still oriented on sound gourmets with big ears. Using old Soviet radio signal receivers with the old-school sound, the "band" consisting of four amateurs went mad popping and squeezing air in the kitchen of Normunds Pics, the person having an idea to record a completely distinct noise recording with no repetitive moments, which changes the consciousness. The recording of 4 tracks has been completed in January 2009, and the band decided to sell it on their own established label, "Pischit", since "everything which sells is scam". However later in 2009, the 3rd track from this recording was picked up by the Netherlands producer Mark Stolk, for his anniversary net label compilation "Just Not Normal #50". The track ended the compilation and has been received numerous reviews around, that's why Pics decided to publish it for free, adding yet another desperate sound journey from SdT outtakes specially for INQB8R edition. This is the first release on INQB8R which consists of tracks recorded purely live, with no cuts or post-editings applied.

Sebo De Tripa - Scuffs [INQ013 / EP "Sc" / track nr.2]

Review of EP "Soul Eyed Sister": A mini-disc-size sound rocket contains the truly essense of Robert Demes recent works, re-arranged and re-mixed specially for INQB8R edition. All tracks were recorded in in the autumn of 2006 mostly, and were earlier published in a plug-n-play style on "Bumpfoot", "4-4-2 Music" and "Clinical Archives". But they didn't lost the fresh tune until now, specially after getting a completely new light. Robert is considering himself as a blues musician mostly, having Keith Richards and Albert King as favorites, and it all has obviously impressed those tracks, despite they are composed in sometimes polyrhythmic, free manner. We hope you will enjoy a lot of fun while listening, the same joy as we've got while discovering "dmyra" flight from the inner side.
