In(sane) tells stories from people who have lived experiences of mental health struggles who want to share what has helped, and what does continue to help them. People with lived experience of mental illness holds expertise that is incredibly valuable. People who are living well with mental illness represent the hope that is often missing in people's lives. Much evidence shows us that peer support is a critical and effective strategy for ongoing health care and sustained behaviour change. The benefits extend to community, organisational and societal levels. By sharing their experiences and offering suggestions based on that experience, people with lived experience of these issues are uniquely able to support others.

In(sane) would like to acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation who are the traditional custodians of the land on which we record. We would also like to pay respect to the Wurundjeri Elders, past and present, and extend this respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait people from other communities who are here today.
