"I've recently—well, more accurately over the past year or so—taken an interest in dubstep. It's mostly been listening to it, but recently that interest has led to stuff like this mashup and as of now unreleased attempts at producing the stuff myself.

Anyway, this mashup mix takes 3 Braille tracks and throws them on top of a dubstep track by Sauce (now known as Snowmetal). The songs in question are:

"Feel It (ft. DJ Revolution)" by Braille, a track I've remixed or mashed at least four times now,
"Get Well Soon" by Braille, the first song I remixed by him,
"The IV" by Braille,
and the titular track for which the mashup is named, "Pulling Down Strongholds" by Sauce.

Pulling Down Strongholds Mashup Mix [Braille VS Sauce]

"I Know" by Lecrae VS "Can You Feel It" by Family Force 5. Not intended to be a serious mashup... Seriously.

Anyway, the following post I made on a forum was the inspiration for the mashup:

"First, listen to "Can You Feel It" by Family Force 5, specifically the "Oh, so dope" line and the notes accompanying it. Then, listen to "I Know" by Lecrae and hear a very similar melody come in around 50 seconds in.

EDIT:  I made a mashup of these two tracks just for the heck of it and the melody easily fit right in the same spot. It's craezy."

I Know You Can Feel It

Mashup of “Take My Star” by Yungtown with Hana’s “rap” from the “Asagao Academy Normal Boots Club” game. While it is technically a mashup, I called it a remix to make it seem more like it was from within the game’s universe. And… #HanasGotBarz is, admittedly, a cheesy title, but it sort of fits the overall jokiness of the song.

The original in-game recording session ended with:

Luke (Yungtown):  "So, you don't mind if I use that on my album, right?"
Hana:  “Screw you Luke!”

I imagine this remix as an alternate way the recording session could have gone, with Hana starting out okay, nearly messing up, but then Luke jumps in to keep it going and then Hana actually starts to get into it and enjoy it.

For those who don’t know, Yungtown is a rapper and Youtuber who was featured as a character in this dating simulator “Asagao Academy: Normal Boots Club” along with several other gaming Youtubers (namely, the members of Normal Boots and Hidden Block).

There was a scene in the game where the main character, Hana, visits Luke (Yungtown) for help with something. Eventually, Luke gets her in a recording booth and has her spit a freestyle "rap." Out of sheer terror, she starts speaking and Luke records the whole thing… or maybe he doesn’t... It’s not entirely clear since he says he wasn’t recording but then he asks if he can use the recording on his album (as seen in the quote above).

So, anyway… When I heard Hana’s rap in Asagao, I was expecting it to be over the “Take My Star” beat and was kinda disappointed when it wasn’t. So, using the audio clips from the game, I made the song myself. Thanks to the magic of audio time-stretching, I was able to take the purposefully bad rap from the original game and turn it into what you hear in this mashup. There wasn’t enough audio for Hana to rap 8 bars so I filled in some parts with lines from some old Yungtown songs (namely, https://soundcloud.com/death2selfrecords/lets-go?in=death2selfrecords/sets/yungtown-classics-yungtown from "Yungtown Classics" (2006) & https://soundcloud.com/death2selfrecords/interlude?in=death2selfrecords/sets/collaborative-reinvention-yungtown-praize from “Collaborative Reinvention” (2008)).

When I was at the concert @SocialClubMisfits did yesterday, I noticed the similarity between these two songs. So... I threw this together real quick.

I overlaid the two songs, but I think this could work really nice as a transition from one song to the other.

Level Up To The Max - "Social SZN" VS "Into The Night" Mashup

Unfinished mashup concept inspired by @arsenaultmusic's "CHH:2017" mashup (https://soundcloud.com/arsenaultmusic/chh2017-preview).

The idea of attempting to put together a mashup featuring only Christian hip-hop tracks released in 2017 was really cool, so I thought I'd give it my own go with the limited amount of stems I have from that year. Due to having only a few stems, this is merely a concept and won't be as massive/extensive as Arsenault's.

Notes:
The way Shai interrupts the track is sorta symbolic of the way his album shook up CHH in 2017.

Final version might use Social Club acapellas instead of the full songs.

I got the idea to use FERN's "You already know for the most part" in the hook from @creationofficial's remix of "Social SZN" (https://soundcloud.com/creationofficial/social-club-misfits-social-szn-creation-remix-clip).

I already had a mashup of "Nah Bruh" and "Stones" based on a call back and forth between the two ("You know you can't touch this" "Nah Bruh" "So go and throw your stones...") but it wasn't working out as well as I hoped, so I incorporated it into this one. As a result, certain parts of this mashup don't make sense lyrically:  "If you truly love the Son of Man, trust [that] you can't touch this (level up)".

Also, lest anyone think I designed the cool, minimalistic album artwork myself, that is actually the artwork from Arsenault's CHH:2017 preview but with the colors inverted and a grey background.

Stand Up Level Up [CHH:2017-Style Concept]

So, this is a mashup of "We Go" by Matthew Parker (@matthewparkermusic) and "Merry Go Round (Doug Weier (fka @unikronisreal) Remix)" by Manafest (@manafest007).

When I first listened to the "Merry Go Round" remix, I noticed some similarities in the melody of the drop to that of "We Go" by Matthew Parker and thought that it'd be cool to throw the songs in a blender and make a mashup with them. It was kinda tricky because I had to raise the pitch of "Merry Go Round" so that the melody didn't suddenly switch octaves, as that particular synth melody is an octave higher in the one song. Unfortunately, the pitch shifting results in "We Go" being extremely low-pitched and "Merry Go Round" being extremely high-pitched, but it was necessary to get them into the same key and for the melody to stay in the same octave. Anyway, due to all that and the short length, this is just a concept and probably won't be expanded upon.

I made that particular mashup literally a day after the "We Go" acapella was released but it's been in limbo for a while because of a four-bar section that's giving me trouble.

Stumbled across this thing I made back in 2015—a WIP mashup of "Light Up The Sky" by Thousand Foot Krutch and "Mic Ripper" by Heath McNease—and thought I’d upload it here. It’s a promising concept, but I don’t have the complete acapella and, even if I did, it’s too rough to ever make into a full mashup.

The acca is actually from a Youtube video of TFK recording and mixing the track, which is why there’s that weird stutter/delay effect at the beginning (they were experimenting with different vocal effects, IIRC), why it’s in mono, and why the quality is just super low in general.

Rough demo of a Skrillex mashup I've been working on off and on over the past few years. The buildup sounds awful, so uh... pay that no mind. This is more to show off the drop.

Basically, I took 3 remixes of "Right In" by Skrillex—namely, those by Pixel Terror, Altituned, & Katakai—and cut back and forth between them** in an attempt to create an absolutely insane mix of my own. The full track will also have bits and pieces from the following artists' remixes of "Right In":  Slushii, AlexiaMode, Lito, and (possibly) EH!DE.
