The initial passage of RoP into existence took place with its members scattered between Ljubljana and Rotterdam. Naturally, we consider them both home turf, and a healthy and frequent cultural exchange between the two as the honorary objective. The foundation stone in the frequency of Eardrop 02 is at last laid by our good friend Yutte, a seasoned ‘nultien’ selector and a co-founder of Enter the System crew, existing in the cross-section of music, photography, and cinema. SMS began his relationship with music at the age of six, living in a small city in Italy learning the saxophone. Since moving to Rome ten years ago, his progression from there has seen his influences broaden widely, opening his world to the international circuit. Increased communication and dialogue, retrieving ideas and expanding a network of likeminded people has resulted from organising events at Rome’s Goa Club, finding its way back into his music.  

Creating a celestial atmosphere, soundscapes pave the connection between soul and mind. SMS tells the story through a range of input channels covering early electronic music, instrumental, film score, and dreamy progressive sounds. Here, his concept is to illustrate the connection between natural and electronic dimensions. Passing scenes drift into one another, effusing the soft fragrance of passing moments. Calming rhythms move like the environment and its surroundings, rising and falling like the natural breath.

South Paris representative, Djamel is an experienced figure of the scene. DJ and event organizer since the early 2010’s, he launched a short-lived label, Sabbateans (Nicola Kazimir, Errel Ranson), in 2019. 
2020 brought new perspectives as he is currently working on two labels projects as well as making his debuts as a producer. 
The selection concentrates a wholesome dose of techno-house, finding a balance between underworld modulations and ethereal tones to shape an array of textures (trancey/industrial/tribal). Djamel submits here a dynamic and sprightly odyssey, including a few exclusive forthcoming and unreleased tracks.
