DES McMAHON

Renowned for his raw intensity and intricate approach to production, Des McMahon has carved out a notable presence in the dark drum and bass genre. Rooted in Philadelphia's dynamic music scene, McMahon's journey began with a deep-seated passion for the complexities of sound, propelling him towards the dark depths of drum and bass.

His discography, marked by releases on Play Me Records, Viper Recordings, and Craze's Slow Roast Records, reflects a relentless pursuit of sonic innovation. Esteemed by scene stalwarts like NOISIA, Prolix, Rene LaVice and Zeds Dead, McMahon's work highlights his impact on the development of dark drum and bass.

Beyond the studio, McMahon captivates with electrifying live performances that blend ferocity with finesse. He's a pivotal figure in the East Coast drum and bass circuit, delivering unforgettable performances at venues like Philadelphia's Liaison Room, New York City's Webster Hall, and renowned festivals including EDC Las Vegas, Nocturnal Wonderland, and Moonrise Festival.

As 2024 unfolds, Des McMahon continues to push the envelope of dark drum and bass, marrying visceral energy with sophisticated production techniques. His drive is evident in every track and performance, positioning him at the forefront of the genre's future.

Electron-C is the production moniker for Andrew Hague, a Producer/DJ from Charlotte, NC by way of Orlando, FL.  Electron-C, hailing from the southeast of the USA, cut his teeth in the 808 and breakbeat culture of the Orlando and Miami Rave Scenes. An entirely separate scene that stands proudly on its own, best known for the breakbeat sounds of Zone records, Rabbit in the Moon’s trance epics, and Magic Mike’s infectious 808 filed funk.  From these influences and more, Electron-C found his way to the sounds of Jungle/Drum & Bass, that ignited a creative storm for the Producer/DJ.  As an active member of the USDNB community, Electron-C has had multiple charting releases on Beatport, and continues to deliver brilliant productions and sets to the drum & bass community.

Emerging on the production release scene in 2020 after over a decade of honing his drum & bass techniques, Electron-C has released of host of original work on Base Industry Records, as well as a handful of carefully architected remixes.  In 2022, his remix of the seminal classic, Lustral "Everytime" was featured on the 25th anniversary re-release of the record (vinyl only) on Hooj Choons.  Electron-C is also a regular contributor to Rolled Up Records, the Florida Drum & Bass imprint that has been taking the world by storm.

The Electron-C production style is heavily influenced by his roots in jungle music.  Varying through dark & melodic vocal presentations, euphoric modern jungle drenched dancefloor bits, to high intensity jump up bangers, he is continually pushing the boundaries of his production and sound design in 2023 and beyond.

Electron-C has performed alongside the absolute legends in Drum & Bass:  AK1200, Aphrodite, A.M.C, Dara, Friction, Hype, LTJ Bukem, and many others.  His focus on modern jungle and dancefloor forward drum & bass always keeps the crowd moving and engaged.
