Q. How would you describe yourself?
A. A quiet dancer who uses music to connect with others. 

Q. How long have you been a part of the NY music scene? 
A. About 12 years as a dancer but 6 years as a dj. (I was a curious kid who stayed in the street)

Q. Tell us a little bit about this mix.
A. This mix is a little rude, sticky but sweet. I wanted to pull elements from my queer haitian identity and experiences as an NYC native. A lot of the tracks selected are from DJs and artists I look up to. The grooves, syncopation and cuts I mix are to paint a picture of it being 2am in the club, you are pumping & dancing so hard that you are sweating your hair and clothes out but you can’t stop because the music feels too good. In my own way if I was old enough to play at sound factory or the tunnel, this is what it would sound like!

This is tape that was sent in by an old friend Charlie McFarley. It’s a bit of Brockie & Det and then it’s a bit of Ash & Cogee on Kool FM 16th Jan 1994. All of the MCs on Kool had such iconic voices and Det has got to be up there with the most instantly recognisable. Always so full of vibe and energy. I absolutely love the shout that Cogee reads out to “The Lady Like Joanne” and how she’s brocking out in the kitchen. As he mentioned on Twitter recently, let's hope she still is.

Merry Christmas from us to you. Here is a recording of a Fracture & MC System show on Rude FM Thursday 27th December 2001 - 21 years ago to this very day. I loved my time on Rude FM, mainly broadcasting from a bleak, isolated, grey, cold and condemned block in Chingford. Shout to Fugee.

Informed by all the sub strains of UK Bass music and the Hardcore Continuum, Analias’s hazy sound blurs across the spectrum from slow chugging house grooves to RnB-tinged broken Garage, and on to clinical, yet tempered, Drum & Bass. His productions straddle both poles between melancholy and euphoria, with an underlying greying hue in the center where all the disparate colors of the underground meld into one.  Preferring to let the music speak on his behalf, Analias’s already substantial discography is an accomplished body of work that deserves all of the attention and praise soon to come his way. LGHPS is very happy to help amplify this phenomenal artist to the world.
