DLV has carved out a unique niche in Europe’s techno scene with his intense yet eclectic sound. As a DJ, producer, and label owner, his passion and dedication have earned him releases on prestigious labels such as Amelie Lens’s Exhale, KlangKuenstler’s Outworld, and Voxnox. While DLV’s earlier work leaned towards hard techno, his current style is more rhythm-based, playful, and percussive, drawing influences from both old school and contemporary sounds. His background as a hip-hop DJ has contributed to his versatility, enabling him to skillfully integrate vocals and melodies while maintaining his artistic integrity. Originally from Vienna and now based in Berlin, DLV gained recognition with the underground hit “Rave Instructor” and recently launched his own record label, “Misguided.” Supported by artists like Anetha, Frazi.er, and KI/KI, Misguided showcases DLV’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of electronic music.

DLV aims to release more vinyl records, each showcasing a unique facet of Misguided’s vision. Additionally, he is preparing a defining VA compilation to further solidify the label’s distinctive identity. DLV is also focused on refining his sound and working on an album that he plans to perform live in the future. This year, he will release two more remixes: one for an upcoming artist on his label, and the other of his most played track of 2023, “No Love Only Pleasure” by Selective Response, which will be part of that label’s 5-year anniversary.

La dopamina es un importante neurotransmisor encargado de regular el sueño, la memoria, las funciones motoras y hormonales, el estado de ánimo y la sensación de placer. Es sintetizada a partir del aminoácido L-Tirosina.  Actúa como mediador, facilitando el impulso entre neuronas, mediante la sinapsis. Una de sus características a diferencia de los neuropéptidos es la acción rápida y respuesta a corto plazo. 

Ubicado en el Sistema Nervioso Central, se halla específicamente en los terminales de los axones de las neuronas presinápticas. Los receptores dopaminérgicos se encuentran ampliamente distribuidos en diversas áreas del SNC, donde son responsables de las diversas acciones fisiológicas de la dopamina.  

La función de los sistemas dopaminérgicos del SNC suscita un enorme interés, porque diversas alteraciones en la transmisión dopaminérgica están relacionadas directa o indirectamente con patologías severas del SNC, como es el caso de la enfermedad de Parkinson,  los trastornos psicóticos (incluida la esquizofrenia y la dependencia a drogas como la anfetamina y la cocaína). 

Fue sintetizada artificialmente por primera vez en 1910 por George Barger y James Ewens en los Laboratorios Wellcome, en Londres, Inglaterra. Con el paso de los años, se ha empleado desde las cúpulas de poder para someter a los individuos a condicionamientos altamente adictivos. Plataformas como Tik Tok, Facebook e Instagram se basan en el conocimiento específico de la dopamina junto al de la Ingeniería Social y las Neurociencias para robar tiempo y minar la salud (física y mental) a millones de personas en todo el mundo.

Our Mixcast this time comes from the capital of the United Kingdom, London, brought to you by TOOTHTAXI – the dynamic duo made up of TILEBOI and YELLOWCAR. Hailing from industrial North East England, TILEBOI and YELLOWCAR have been regulars on the party scene for many years before beginning their DJ journeys in early 2023. Closing the Necropolis festival last year, TILEBOI is known for his dark industrial sounds, blending underground hard techno with mechanical, groove-laden rhythms. YELLOWCAR draws much inspiration from her childhood in Spain, where she developed a taste for heavy bass and Latin-infused techno, culminating in sexy, dancefloor-ready grooves that she has showcased across London's club scene.

Together, as their collaborative project TOOTHTAXI and fresh from playing some of London's hottest queer raves, they bring a mix of otherworldly, dark grooves with a strong dancefloor focus. Expect a hard-hitting, driving, hypnotic experience!
