Is Lafayette Safe?

Due to popular demand, this Valentine's Day, the Lafayette Police Department presents our first True Crime Podcast Episode! This 2005 case was extremely unique and became national news. 

In 2005, Danlei Chen shot and killed her husband, Lei He, in their apartment in Lafayette, Indiana, over a divorce disagreement. Captain Joe Clyde and Lt. Tim Payne, an officer and detective on this case, join us to help share the story. This episode includes graphic details including dismemberment. Viewer discretion is advised.

When Love And Crime Intertwine: A Lafayette True Crime Episode

In episode four of "Inside the Squad", LPD's three Civilian Crime Scene Investigators and Purdue University's Dr. Marcus Rogers, PhD, CISSP, DFCP-F joins us to discuss digital evidence in criminal investigations! 

Computers can be used for committing crime, and thanks to the increasing science of digital evidence forensics, law enforcement now use computers to fight crime. Dispatch in Depth

On today's show, our guest was Indiana State Representative Shelia Klinker. Shelia was a teacher in the Lafayette School Corporation for more than 34 years and worked as the Outreach Liaison for the Purdue School of Education for 15 years. Shelia is a member of the Education, Veterans Affairs and Public Safety, and Ways and Means committees. 

Shelia lives in Lafayette with her husband, Victor. They have three children and five grandchildren.
