One of the first complete songs I did: Original sound from around 1988, recorded in Steinberg 24, which later evolved into Cubase. All the sound is generated live by Rolands MT-32 module, which was the the first of all the General Midi sound extensions coming later. It also was used as sound extension in a number of PC games. 

For the 25th anniversary release I added a bit of compression and reverb in Logic.

Dr. Gulp

A year ago one of my collegues went for a short hike in southern france. 3 hours later he sent a SMS to his friends, telling he'd lost the way. Even after the biggest search and rescue operation in 30 years in that area, he is still lost.

I wrote the lyrics the night I learned about this tragedy. 

This one is for Uwe G., wherever you are.

Fractal Love (Demo 2007)

A while ago I read an article telling the 25 stories of refugees. People who left everything behind, some didn't dare to tell even their parents, that they'd leave. I didn't sleep well that night, thinking about what would need to happen to me, before I would take my kids into a small boat with way too many other people. Hoping to reach the other side of a whole sea. Hoping for another life.

One more song from the archives, started while travelling scotland and ireland by train, many years ago. This is the original recording done on a Tascam 688 tape machine, no sampling, no loops.

Train To Belfast

I used a shorter version of this song as soundtrack for my juggling performances. Actually the tempo and parts of the song were created to match the juggling moves (which looked like a pendulum in places).

Now remastered and in full length, enjoy :-)

Funny, how things like an old photo, a fragrance or a melody still can give you the chills after so many years.

The story of this song started nearly 25 years ago. The recording is also quite old, let's say the noise level resembles the combined efforts of some of my digital dinosaurs. Let me switch on that time machine and travel back - sweet dreams :-)

Falling Star

Like so many others I was inspired by Zeforas vocals. There are so many great electronic tracks with her voice out there, so I thought, why not going for some more band like, nearly acoustic version?  Anyways I always wanted to do a duet, so that's what I have come up with.

I'd love to work with you on collaborations, I can offer vocals and keyboards. 

I started to compose my music in the eighties, first on my electric organ, then on 8 bit computers like the famous C64. Later my 8 track tape machine allowed more complex arrangements and finally I got used to hearing my own voice ;-) The songs in the storyteller set originate in that time. Nowadays I have better tools, but unfortunately less time.

I'd love to work with you on collaborations, I can offer vocals and keyboards.
