Joining the WCF imprint with his 'Distorted Time EP', the Manchester based Transcode brings his driving sound to Egg LDN's in-house label to showcase his versatile approach to production.

With the vinyl press being released at the beginning of November, followed by the digital version, which includes the bonus track 'Backlash', due out on 14th December, the EP includes two remixes by the club's close friends Secret Cinema and OC & Verde.

'Timewarp' opens up the release, immediately setting a tripped out tone with its distorted vocals and a slightly menacing melody, which bubbles under the surface throughout the track.

'Rotation' is a slightly darker and dubber production complemented by crisp hi-hats and well-rounded drums. It is a perfect intro to building up an extended set.

Secret Cinema leaves his stamp on 'Timewarp' with an ominous Remix of Transcode's Original. Again, it fits into the shady feel of the EP but the Dutch producer brings an enchanting feel to the track, with a twinkling melody laced throughout.

Manchester based OC & Verde bring their stamp to the release with their remix of 'Rotation'. Using a blend of drawn-out synths to build up a powerful lead, packed with raw percussions, it certainly shows the sonic direction the duo has been working on over the last year.

Completing the digital edition with a bonus track, Transcode rounds off the EP with 'Backlash'. A punchy and unrelenting track, it's a peak time tune which is one of those tracks for a heaving dance floor to relish in what the Mancunian producer is all about.

Alan Fitzpatrick’s has just celebrated the second edition of his Alan Fitzpatrick’s Day Festival in Ireland with a whole crew of label artists joining him. The label has had some mega releases just this year alone, with Alan kicking things off with his gargantuan 7 track EP in Jan, an international hit collab with Grammy award winning duo CamelPhat and the announce of the very first VA, to drop in May! 

The key to a lot of the success is no doubt Alan’s ability to pick monster club hits, and this EP is no exception. WATB resident A.S.H - an artist Alan is particularly passionate about, returns to the label with his massive four track ‘Together EP’. 

“We Are The Brave’s rising star A.S.H delivers yet another stellar EP. He’s definitely an artist to keep your eye on, one of techno’s exciting new talents. Solid guy and makes wicked tunes! Those baselines - huge!!” says Alan. 

‘Together’ showcases four distinct weapons from the A.S.H arsenal. First up, title track ‘Together’ sees the south-coast artist marry hardfloor-style acid with pounding warehouse kicks. 

‘The Drop’ creates a wonky warehouse groove on which he cleverly adds rave stabs and a wild  bass. ‘You’ is of a much deeper flavor - well placed sonics accompany the sparse percussive underbelly as a female voice laments a lost lover. Finally, ‘Whispers’ pummels you with its massive overdriven kicks and synths.

The 25-track strong compilation features standout cuts Beyer has received over the last 12 months, but been unable to find room for in Drumcode's regular release schedule, such is the volume and high standard of music that's submitted.

The highlight-rich compilation includes Jamie Jones & Darius Syrossian's buzzy Drumcode debut 'Eyes of the Night', Nicole Moudaber's first DC release in 5 years with the mesmerizing 'This Is Us', Will Clarke's bass-drenched re-work of Adam Beyer & Bart Skils 'Your Mind' and Joey Beltram's first Drumcode release in 11 years with the retro-tinged 'Can You Feel It'.

The beloved Alan Fitzpatrick returns to the fold with the searing 'Heiße Rakete', alongside label mainstays Layton Giordani, who drops the stirring chord-driven 'Chrome' and Wehbba with 'Mantra', combining techno classicism with future-focused groove.

There's a troupe of debutants donning the Drumcode jersey for the first time, including BEC, Shelley Johannson, Anthony Castaldo, Avision, Zimmz, Woo York, SAMA (in a terrific collaboration with Secret Cinema) and Ilija Djokovic, who delivers a shimmering highlight with 'Aura', a particular favourite of Beyer's over the last year. Raxon also debuts on the label after a couple of quality additions to the Truesoul back catalogue.

Exciting young guns Weska and Juliet Fox bring heat to the compilation, while Veerus and Timmo follow up strong DC releases with a repeat dose. Elsewhere faithful contributors Ramon Tapia, Jay Lumen, Luca Agnelli, Marco Bailey and Mark Reeve craft powerful dancefloor weapons.

Belgian duo @joyhauser are perfectionists, and it shows. Their releases aren’t sent out into the universe until they’re just right, and the Think People EP is a fulsome explosion of powerhouse techno, crafted with meticulous care. 

The title track is a barnstormer loaded with everything you need to ignite a warehouse: pumping kicks, synth blasts mimicking smoke machines, and huge bassy blurts that cut through the mix like an oncoming train. “Molly” doesn’t let up where that let off. Rattling percussion and haunting synths are the precursor to a cheeky voiceover that confirms exactly which “molly” they’re talking about. Lashes of acid heighten the energy, creating a trance-like state that endures for the duration. @michaelkleinberlin’s remix of “Think People”, meanwhile, bears the German producer’s trademark energy. Ravey synths peal over the top of a delicious thump, snatched vox and an incessant shuffling beat, trading the bite of the original for something slightly less dark.
