In his first official release, Insomniac takes on the perspective of seven different individuals (one for each song)he has known throughout his life and interprets each perspective himself.  He draws from the negative experiences of the seven people, often involving issues like drug dealing, gang life, poverty, and other social issues.  While the seven individuals may have found it necessary to have a mindset determined enough to secure their finances by any means necessary, Insomniac aims to take on the same mindset of the individuals, but to use that mindset to motivate himself in a more positive way.

"Insomniac is a rapper out of St. Louis who aims to tell his story as well as to tell the stories of those who never had a voice.  He focuses on his penmanship and lyrical craft to develop his versatile style, flowing on anything from the classic sounds of the 90s to the more modern sounds of today's hip-hop.  Topics range from street life, socioeconomic issues, school, women, religion, and stories that aim to help his listeners better understand his background in addition to guiding them to find pieces of themselves in his music.  With growth being a central theme in his music, he hopes his audience will reflect and learn from his experiences so that they, too may grow to become better individuals."
