"From Glory to Glory" is the most personal, spiritual, and emotional work yet from Insomnious Noise, and the first album from the project since 2010. The music takes a seamless, sprawling 43-minute journey through melancholic melodies, organic and electronic textures, field recordings, tribal rhythms, and vast soundscapes. Narratively, the album is inspired by Christian's trek from "the city of destruction" to "the celestial city atop Mount Zion" in John Bunyan's "The Pilgrim's Progress."

Watching the Austrian Grand Prix, I was struck by how pretty the harmony was in the Austrian National Anthem. Here I've added an intro and stretched out that work into an ambient drone, in the Stevens style.

So this place came back to me tonight and I wanted to make a track for those memories and the time past. 10 years ago I had the best time of my life in Playa del Carmen in El Deseo. Just wonderful and happy times for me. On most nights I was there, there was the same DJ who played amazing tracks. I remember once he played a track by Joakim and that got me to talk to him being from Paris too. He was a wonderful person. So here's to you mister dj, 10 years later.
