I improved the melody and added a bit more to the song such as a bass guitar and some other stuff. I tried to match the quality of the SNES too in Audacity since I didn't use an actual SNES DAW or the notepad composing for this song. I think it turned out nicely nonetheless, and I hope you all think so too.
I first imagined this as a battle against Mario, then a corrupt version of Mario, and now I'm thinking it could be used for something like a final castle or level, or maybe it could be used for something like kaizo levels or just hard levels in general while still getting that vanilla feel from the music; who knows, maybe someone will transcribe this song or ask for the FLP so they could remix it in their rom hack or upload it to smwcentral.net for others to use. I'm not experienced with writing any SNES music, so I don't plan on doing that any time soon. Feel free to do so, just notify or ask me first.

NOTE: I collaborated with Magnus Pålsson (the original composer) on this. I recorded live drums and kept and going back and forth between the live and original. I want to keep the original chiptune "feel" while adding the live layer, and also a "gamey" sound - hence some of the "gamey" sounds left over from original, so I went with the original drums with a touch of live. it really is a matter of taste!
