What does the average face of a Black man in America who's been murdered by a violent crime look like?  For this cover we morphed different facial features of Je'Rean Blake, Tyrice Thompson, Emmett Till, and Travon Martin, all who where senselessly murdered under different circumstances, as one face.  The point is, the face could be anyone; our brother, father, uncle, nephew, son...
For this song I team up with fellow Arizona artist Smooth, Leo tha Don, and RoQ'y Tyraid to address the issues that go overlooked in our community not only by media, but often by us as well, that are the root of these killings.  I hope that through this song we can heal, and start to let love rule.  Blessings to these fallen men and their families, and to anybody else's family who has been a victim to violent crime due to another's miss-guided perception.

About the Cypher: The brainchild of Arizona rapper, Thaahum, the “Arizona Inspiration on Fire Cypher” was created in 2013 as a platform for up and coming socially and lyrically conscious Phoenix, AZ based Hip-Hop artists. Listed as one of the top weird movies in Hollywood (http://366weirdmovies.com/46-the-dark-backward-1991/), I was asked to create a song for The Dark Backward 15th anniversary DVD release in 2006.  Bill Paxton was one of the actors in this mind bending film. Making a rap song about this was the most challenging thing I had to do as a song writer, because the movie is well....out there. But being the lyricist I am I was up to the challenge and came up with this song which is featured on the DVD.  I cannot thank the writer/director of the film, Adam Rifkin enough for giving me that opportunity, which laid the groundwork for so many songs I've done since then about pop culture.  
My thoughts and prayers go out Bill Paxton's family and friends, and I am truly grateful to have had a song featured on a project of his.
