	
It would be very easy to come up with a résumé for Install but unfortunately, or rather fortunately, Install do not fit the mould. Four miscellaneous people, with different musical backgrounds, mentalities and ambitions, decided to form a band in spring 2007, with the purpose…
There was not a rather clear purpose, just music full of energy. Things started to look good for Install, since within a short time, the fruit of their labor had already thrived and as a result, a self-financing mini EP called "PROTECT THE LOUD" was released in the summer of the same year. That mini EP created a buzz among the underground indie-rock circles of Athens and as it was only natural, gigs followed in almost every venue not only in the city but outside as well.
As the time was going by in harmony, with the band performing live, jamming at the studio and composing as much music as possible, one autumn evening, after a loud and noisy, as usual, gig at a popular bar of downtown Athens, a proposal from EMI for a complete album turned up unexpectedly. "This is bloody great!" shouted Jim, the drummer and one of the lyricists of the band and Install got to recording their first venture in discography.
And so began a long period in basements, fraught with cigarettes, beer drinking, quarrelling and above all music, bringing the band at the doorstep of KIWI studio and Nick Lavdas to record their album in spring 2010. Nick inspired in Install a love for vintage recording techniques, as well as for a loud guitar sound which is not lacking in immediacy or pop character. Remarkable was the love that Terry, the guitarist of the band, felt with the "roaring" Vox amp, a kind of love that will probably last for a long time.
Eventually, by the end of 2010 recordings had been completed and the mixing of the album was sent to Abbey Road Studios in London to be mastered by Geoff Pesche.
In the meantime, it was Virginia's turn to deal with the artwork of the album, who as an artistic "multi-tool" that she is, apart from singing and writing lyrics, draws on canvases with ease.
Finally, in April 2011 after even more beer and cigarettes the debut album of Install is released by EMI. Its title? "We do music just to have fun and be happy" says Kostas the bassist.
So "MAY YOU BE HAPPY"!!
