2013 Resident Mix of the Year goes to 'Coldcut meets The Orb - The Return Trip', which was the first show to properly kick off our 25th Anniversary year..............

Recorded on the anniversary of JFK's assassination and 21 years after their historic '92 New Year mix on Kiss 100 FM, Coldcut meets The Orb inna Uptown Youth House for the Return Trip. Matt Black and Jonathan More alongside studio accomplice Dor Wand got suitably enhanced with Dr LX Paterson and Youth for a multi-player late night jam session lasting over 3 hours. They then entrusted the multitracks of the set to DJ Food who heroically edited, condensed and massaged the sprawling swamp of sound into a tight - but also loose - 2 hour Solid Steel session.

Swimming through the mix are Lee Perry, Killing Joke, Sun Ra, William Burroughs, Teebs, Ry Cooder, Actress, Prince Jammy, Iggy Pop, Monty Python, Hank Williams and Hal 9000. Alongside unreleased dubs from the players themselves, remixes and versions of tunes old and new, the complete track listing for this marathon set may never be fullly disclosed. It's 2 hours, 10 minutes of sonic secrets to melt your mind, probably best listened to in headphones late at night with all suitable facilities for the full effect. Enjoy this trip.

Na poli elektronické hudby se Dj Instant poprvé objevil co by návštěvník podstatné  většiny tuzemských pertys a festivalů. První techno sety mu k uchu zprostředkovalo CD Apokalypsa už ve dvanácti letech. Od této doby mu byl udán  směr v oblasti electro  music. Největším nakopnutím, pro přechod z pozice posluchače na druhou stranu mixážního pultu, byla účast na live vystoupeních světových ikon tohoto žánru jako například  Advent and Industialyzer ,Pan Pot, Dava Clarka a Carla Coxe . Zde padlo rozhodnutí podílet se vlastní tvorbou na akcích tohoto druhu a zúročit tak léta poslechu  elektronické hudby. Díky velkému množství mladých a šikovných djs z "party friends" v jeho okolí vzaly věci rychlý spád a brzy byly na světě první mixy a první nabídky k účasti na lokálních clubových akcích jako například Porn Selection, Euphoria, Born2b live a dalších. Nutno říct, že na všech jmenovaných projektech sklidil velký úspěch publika a tím i zájem v okruhu českých cluberů. Jeho set  se vyznačuje velkým citem pro rytmus, je nabitý energií jemu vlastní a rázností beatů. Preferuje  techno a techhouse-jeho produkce je ovlivněna například produkcí Secret Cinema Records a výše zmíněnými interprety. Lehce se nechává unést taky deep housovými melodiemi, což dodává jeho setům jistý nadpozemský nadhled. Ohlasy z řad moravského publika mu předpovídají velký potenciál usídlit se trvale na scéně současného českého techna. Důkazem všeho  jsou jeho poslední tři sety First blood , Radical a Fresh Pulsation.
