The Albigensian or When I Reached Out For You I Couldn't Reach

Thinking about soundtrack from Kirikou the bit where he comes out of the tunnel... and More Than Words by Extreme....  and of course, the good feeling from helping someone get some good sleep. Had a chord sequence in my head and found the Lullaby sort of fitted.  Bit at the end is just serendipity showing her face when I recorded last bit of Ukelele.  Felt it was an antidote to The Albigensian.

what I was thinking about: terry riley's In C which i had seen on Sound and the Fury (bbc series), and the potential challenge it made/makes (as does soundcloud) to the production and consumption of music under modern capitulism. And three interesting phrases I read in some writing by Barbara Browning (who is on sound cloud) talking about CLR James, Frantz Fanon, dancing (!) social change and Haiti - these are  "choreography of non-violence" and "medium of the conspiracy" and [web?]"sites where political potential is mistakenly spent", representing themes in radical lives of re-imagining the future/past, actively challenging the status quo, and the risk of becoming incorporated or invisible. 



Revolution means to go back to where you started

This came out from the prior track - Revolution means to go back to where you started.  I was thinking about loops and computer music and pre-recorded being sanitised, contrasted with live unfolding music being subject to infection and disaster and of course wonderful coincidences and encounters, 

so this track is trying to eat its cake and also to gaze at (listen to) its cake. but really this is not live of course, but you are, so that counts.
