Hybral is a Berlin-based non-binary DJ and producer drawn to eerie energetic industrial techno. They mix and produce haunting techno and noisy-driven experimental sounds - creating dystopian and menacing atmospheres and capturing feelings of anger, anxiety, chaos, fear, tension and pain.  Hybral's productions are made of dark atmospheric patterns linked with pushing percussions and basslines as well as heavily distorted kicks and harsh industrial noises. 

In this mix, Hybral focuses on the rather slower side of industrial techno, giving it a sexy and texturised touch.

They are also founder of the queer label, event and podcast SUBVERTED that is focusing on industrial techno with influences by dark ambient, noise, EBM and hypnotic techno. SUBVERTED curates queer parties with equally queer line-ups, showcasing non-binary, trans, female, inter, and agender DJs and producers focusing on dark, harsh, athmospheric and texturised sounds. the intention is to lead the scene back to its roots of diversity and social justice. SUBVERTED stands in resistance to the personality cult and intends to put the focus back on music and community building.

After a small hiatus to shine some light on our latest label release, VKR010, we return to normality with one half of the duo from the release - DRAAG - An artist who needs little introduction. After releasing music for around a decade, DRAAG has solidified himself as a go to name within the harsher side of techno music. In recent years, his work has vastly expanded, creating various labels for outputting music from himself and others such as Ectopic - always with expertly selected music from across the globe and cutting edge artists who never fail to impress, whether they are well known or not. Hybral is a Berlin based non-binary DJ and producer focusing on the darker side of electronic music, ranging from contemplative cinematic ambient and more introspective and slower ritualistic leaning techno to rough, fast, industrial and uncompromising hard techno - capturing feelings of anger, anxiety, chaos, fear, tension, desire and pain. 
Through layering dark, driving, distorted and seductive beats with trembling textures, dystopian soundscapes and hauntingly eerie atmospheres, Hybral not only increases the intensity and energy throughout their sets towards the end, but also shows a different side of hard and industrial techno that is more inward looking, evolving and mind-bending while still maintaining the hard hitting sound experience. 
By using awry harmonies and chaotic noise, Hybral intends to express how queerness disrupts and reorders norms by not following accepted paths and normative sound aesthetics. Their tracks shake listeners into a state of hypnosis, disorientation and ask to question ourselves and our position in society. Alarming timbres, modulated ominous atmospheres and distorted kick drums, noisy and in reverberation immersed percussions evoke the power and necessity of movement and destruction as a source of change.
