Ceramic bass is an instrument made of a clay pot, wooden stick and a pig bladder. It is a rythm instrument. When the player is rubbing  the stick with wet fingers so that the bladder resonates it makes a bass sound. The bigger the instrument (the pot) lower the sound. This instrument is an old slovene folk instrument.

Ektara or Gopichand is a one string musical instrument. Ektara is most often used in traditional music in Bangladesh, India, Egypt, and Pakistan. Easy to use with great sound.
This is a hand crafted item, approximately 45 cm-( in 17,72) tall and has diameter of approximately 11 cm-( in 4,33).

This is a hand crafted item, approximately 80cm-( in 131,50) tall and has diameter of approximately 20cm-( in 7,9).

This soundmaker imitates frog. It originates from shepard's toys. Shepards would make them for fun when grazing cattle or sheeps. They used to make it from wallnut shell and horse tail hair. It can also be used as a ratchet noisemaker.

FROG

Reed pipe is an old slovene traditional instrument. It is known by a number of folk names depending of the different parts of Slovenia where people were making and playing them. There are two traditional varieties of reed pipe. One variety is made with tubes on bosth sides with the longest tube in the middle and the other is made on only one side with the tubes descending.

How to play a reed pipe? Press the reed pipe on the lower lip, so that you touch the chin at the same time. Push the upper lip over the lower lip and blow in the tubes.

BRNIVKA (an old slovene soundmaker)

Brnivka (droner, whizzer) was one of the first sound toys in Slovenia. Its beauty and naturalness still capture the hearts of those who are young at heart. 

How to play Brnivka? 
Hold Brnivka by string and rotate with streched arm in big circles. By doing that Brnivka rotates also on its axis and gives a strong droning sound.

Make sure that you have enoguh space to rotate brnivka.

BULL ROARER

Chivink is jay bird soundmaker, used in the old days in Slovenia to catch the birds. When the cacther would play the chivink and the birds would come out of the tree he would throw the civink away to get the birds. So the bird catchers tied a red ribbon on it to easier find it in the grass later. Civink makes the sound similar as to the one playing on the grass put between the two thumbs.

Haloze flute
Top completeness of historical memory

The hands of an experienced master have revived Haloze flute from the treasury of Slovenian folk creativity. The first written information about the Haloze flute dates back to the distant year of 1487 from the log of visitor of majšper knight, who described the evening reception at the castle.

The flute I made of plum wood and has numbers as names according to its length. Number Four, five and six are the easiest to play.

Haloze flute has a characteristic shape. Both ends are slightly wider. Making of Haloze flute is a very complex process which requires great accuracy and knowledge.

Wooden bucket bass is a folk version of double bass. It is made of wooden bucket, wooden neck, one string on brass peg and skin membrane. For transport purposes it can be easily disassembled.

Thundermaker imaitates storm sounds. It is made of wood, REMO membrane and metal spring. There are various ways of playing – you can just hold the wooden shell and shake it more or less vigorously, you can change the sound by opening or closing the hole at the top and you can also slightly scrath the spring with your nail.
