On the the a-side he ups the intensity once again with pure squealing machine funk in the form of ‘Modular Framework’ & ‘Displacer’.

The flip contains 2 menacing remixes of ‘Displacer’ by Sleeparchive, an inspiration to both Ctrls & Token. We never hoped for a match this perfect.

Hassler may be a new name to many, but the man behind the new pseudonym is known for a steady run of techno tunes for his globally renowned Suara label.  Iván Ramos AKA Coyu has been dishing up four to the floor bangers since the mid-2000’s, and with his new Hassler project, aims to “not just release house music, but also to not follow the rules, allowing me to release whatever I think it’s fun, groovy and makes me dance”.

Having already released on Patrick Topping’s Trik imprint, and Mele’s Club Bad, Hassler now tees up the ‘How Good Were The After Parties’ EP for Eats Everything & Andres Campo’s EI8HT label.

A trio of rollicking, drum driven belters can be found on this release, with Hassler EQing and filtering each track with maximum power!  Funky and functional, energetic and raw, every one of these fires on all cylinders!

Having developed an impeccable reputation in the past twenty years since delving into the word of turntables and mixtapes at an early age, Sims can be called a genuine legend in the world of techno. As a producer he has remixed Jeff Mills, Chris Liebing, Adam Beyer and Kevin Saunderson as well as releasing on just about every seminal techno imprint there is. As an A&R he’s been at the helm of nine labels, including the highly influential Ingoma and KB Records inc, and continues to steward Theory and Hardgroove towards the boxes of the discerning fans. 

Most recently the London-based producer has seen his ‘Way Back Wednesday’ (with Tony Anderson), ‘Funk You’ and occasional disco radio shows garner huge support while ploughing further energy into the futurist techno club night “Machine’ alongside Kirk Degiorgio. 

It’s with Sims’ multitude of achievements and notoritey in mind that the knowledge that ‘Smoke & Mirrors’ is his debut LP is somewhat unbelievable, but fact it is. After initially hooking up with Adam Beyer’s Drumcode imprint late in 2010 after a long standing friendship, the affable and dry witted Sims’ was persuaded to deliver an LP and the lengthy writing and selection process began. The result is 11 superb productions which showcase Ben’s talents, influences and perhaps most importantly, his vision of what techno can and should be. 

From the off ‘Smoke & Mirrors’ is a technicolour affair that refuses to sit too comfortably into one groove, preferring to pull the listener through a range of vibes that, while disparate, flow together perfectly. As the album moves, snippets of new vibes bleed through before developing into themes and this is one of the brilliant elements of ‘Smoke & Mirrors’.  

The rousing and prophetically titled ‘Riots in London’ opener leads us into a frenetic, dub-tinged and filter-driven aesthetic which is neatly carried on in ‘Descent’ but subtly augmented with almost-there soulful vocal samples. This nod to soulful elements is then carried on in the less pacey, house referencing ‘ The Snake’ which fuses stabbing keys to a skipping beat which is as much New York as it is Detroit, London or Berlin. 

As ‘Smoke & Mirrors’ develops, suprises like the out-and-out tech-funk of ‘Back To The Pod’ and the street party disco of ‘Can You Feel It?’ are hinted at but never lack surprise when dropped. The emphatic drive of the huge sounding ‘I Wanna Go Back’ featuring Blake Baxter takes things back to techno territory and does so with real purpose while darker edged tracks such as the lethal ‘Bullet’ and the late-night discordance of  ‘The Afterparty’ ramp up the tension. 

The twilight sections of Sims’ debut are perfectly judged. The dubbed (and blissed) out title track lightens the mood before the slightly more aggressive but widescreen ‘The Calling’ trips proceedings out in anticipation of the closer, the Tyree Cooper vocalled and aptly titled ‘I Feel It Deep’

‘Smoke & Mirrors’ has been more than worth the wait. It’s as balanced, entertaining, engaging and powerful as you’d expect from such an artist as Ben Sims and, complete with artwork from Alan Oldham and collaborations from Blake Baxter and Tyree Cooper, is essential stuff.

Based in Amsterdam, Robin Fett is quickly becoming a name on the European scene with his stellar productions that are designed for the dance floor. The title cut “Street Groove” demonstrates Fett’s ability to create an anthem rooted in old-school sounds that’s powered by a dominant piano riff and shuffling arrangement of snares, drums and toms. “First Floor” chugs along like a locomotive beast, with wobbling synth build ups and effects that are wrapped perfectly around a dominant bass line and pounding rhythms. 

Martin Landsky delivers the goods with a powerful interpretation of “Street Groove” that features his signature tight production and unmistakable groove. He makes proper use of the piano riff throughout the track, but the real magic happens with a massive build up that will please dance floor revelers.

Berlin’s duo TRU. return to the label with their first official remix and wind things down with a deep and menacing version of “First Floor”. The track features a darker vibe that’s pitched down and incorporates brilliant moments of analog synths and stabs, all tied together by the hard punch of a big kick and masterful buildup to create the perfect amount of tension.

Florian Meindl kick starts 2017 with a special four-track vinyl only release ‘Colorful Cage’. Released on his own imprint FLASH Recordings, the title track is taken from his forthcoming album ‘Time Illusion’.

There is an exclusive vinyl edit of Florian’s previously released foreboding techno track ‘Nix Charon’ and completing the EP are two further unique tracks ‘Controlled Pressure’ and ‘Wild Sequence 3’ which also features in the upcoming LP.

As a DJ, live performer, studio producer and sound designer, Florian has over the years established an impressive producing base for himself in his Berlin based Riverside Studio complex with an exciting hardware set up including Modular Systems, an analog mixing desk as well as classic machines like Roland 909. 
In anticipation for the LP release in early April, Florian has prepared a unique live set featuring a Modular System, the KORG Minilogue, effect boxes and a 909 drum machine which were used in the creation of the album which he will be touring throughout 2017.

We're back with the second 90watts single after the recent label relaunch. This time we welcome upcoming producer Jackie Mayden on board with two originals and introduce the infamous Kastis Torrau on remix duties.

The way we like to describe the sound of 90watts is 'club music'. In a nutshell: music that will stand the test of time, generally not 'commercial' enough for radio, but also not 'dark' and 'purist' enough for techno dungeons. Anything in between- genre tag it whatever you wish- is the area we're aiming for.

Jackie Mayden is a talented young guy with an unusual taste and sense of music. His creations often can't be pigeonholed in any particular genre and neither can this fresh sounding release on 90watts. For Jackie there are no boundaries in music and his sound is exactly right for what we're after.

The opening song 'Cyclic Aspects' evolves around a big infectious groove. Very housy but at the same time rather deep and moving with it's moving chords and repetitive vocal snippets. A song that could have been released in the early 00's if it wasn't for the modern day production quality.

Moving on the title track 'Raver Crystals' is a bit deeper and dreamier. Jackie lays down a vibe here that borders between timeless progressive house and Detroit techno with it's warm chords and floating atmosphere.

To finish the release in style and to give it a bit more extra weight we've asked Kastis Torrau to do a remix for us, and he's chosen the 'Raver Crystals' track. The Lithuanian producer cleverly converts the song into a pumping dance floor groover in his trademark style. A remix that will work well on the dance floor and that will appeal to many DJ's without a doubt.

“Ark of the World (Innersphere Mix)” has a deep and gentle minimalistic feel, which clearly defines the sound of Shinedoe’s Innersphere moniker productions. The mysterious “Funk Be With You” build on the 808-drum rhythm propels on waving chords throughout the track. The original “Release”, has a funky, driving groove with light and warm soundscape goodness. “2000 and One’s Dream Remix” retouches the original track with sexy synth layers and groove boosting drum patterns.

powerful dynamic and touching balance of shades thanks to its atmospheric, rhythmic chord. ‘Aplu’ continues
this spiritual theme with a dedication to another Entruscan divinity. An offering to the god of thunder and
lightning, once again it lives up to its name with a barbed rolling dynamic that suddenly cracks open into a
cosmos of light and emotion before hurling you back into the dark drum drama. Thunderous isn’t the half of
it.
It comes complete with two exceptional remixes of ‘Voltumna’ by Slam and Truncate. Soma bosses Slam add
their signature Glaswegian grit with distorted textures that loop in a hypnotic frenzy while Truncate strips the
groove back to a jacking dynamic that becomes progressively bouncier with raw machine funk insistency.
Across the originals and remixes there’s not a corner in techno that isn’t exceptionally explored here; this is by
far one of the biggest and most heartfelt releases Luca has given the world to date. Do not sleep on this one.

Through the years Intacto Records became a household name. The label was 
founded in Amsterdam in 2004 under the collaborative genius of Shinedoe and 2000 and One .
Intacto 's defining sound included a catalogue of house and techno influences.

Semi-pro House & Techno DJ; i keep a monthly list of current special tracks and DJ Mixes and also upload some own stuff sometimes; 

Grew up with lots of Soul, Jazz & 80's Glamrock which later on turned into Oldschool Hip-Hop, 90's House & Happy Hardcore. Early adulthood was spent discovering big parties & festivals with Trance/Progressive/Techno. 

Nowadays i teamed up with lifelong friend and Pro DJ Max Anthony to form the DJ duo "The Anthony Bros". We get our inspiration from energetic, deep, organic, funky & techy stuff which can be any genre from house to techno.
