Mastrrang has been in the music world since Year 9. His love for this artform began when he and a mate would cook up rap beats in the school studio. Mastrrang has always had a love for music, but once he started getting a taste of the electronic sound, it grabbed him. This has lead him to where he his today, mixing and producing for 5 years, with a dynamic and wide range of genres and sounds focusing on Hardgroove and Techno.
In the midst of Mastrrang’s unique talent and impressive mixing skills, keep an ear out for a few unrealesed tracks, not only from himself but the likes of, Ned Bennett, Issell, and Ben Prophet.

Issell has been immersed in the music world since the age of 16, initially creating lo-fi rap beats and uploading them to Spotify. His passion evolved over time, and after relocating to Melbourne in 2023, he was introduced to the vibrant techno scene. Meeting skilled artists in this genre inspired him to dive deeper into techno, a path he hasn’t turned back from since. Though Issell only started mixing a year ago as a hobby, his rapid growth in both technical skill and music selection has led to this release of our second mix in our series.

JET’s journey into mixing began when he was introduced to the energy of Techno at his brother’s 21st, captivated by the genre, he quickly found himself experimenting with mixing, what started as a curiosity quickly turned into a dedicated passion. Over the past two years, JET has been refining his sound. His technical skills and music selection have rapidly evolved, and with each performance, JET continues to make his mark in the Techno scene. COURTNEY started his DJing journey in 2021 at just 14 years old, inspired by a close friend who introduced him to the basics of the art. After exploring a variety of genres, he found his sound in Progressive House and Hypnotic Techno, which now form the backbone of his sets. COURTNEY's passion quickly extended to production, sparking a desire to create his own music. Alongside DJing, he developed a love for vinyl, leading him to collaborate with Greg, the owner of Hub301, who has been along side him in refining his style. While COURTNEY’s set doesn’t yet include his own tracks, he features unreleased music from the rising talents of Roka, with plans to release more of his own music soon. keep a close eye on COURTNEY as he leaves his mark in the industry.

DJ Pill’s journey into DJing began with a deep passion for house music, captivated by the way it comes alive on big sound systems. Known for his ability to create an immersive atmosphere, DJ Pill crafts sets that blend deep house and progressive beats, taking listeners on a journey that keeps them connected to the rhythm.

RUA’s passion for electronic music took shape after moving to Edinburgh for university, where the city’s thriving nightlife and his music studies intertwined. His sets are a high-energy blend of driving percussion and infectious grooves, designed to keep the crowd moving. After years of on-and-off DJing, RUA has reignited his craft with a sharp focus, fuelled by the success of his productions. His recent sets feature upcoming tracks like his Spin Suga remix on a Scottish label, the unreleased Bust Up, and You Do 2 Me, all seamlessly paired with cutting-edge selections that amplify his unique sound and vision. His passion for the scene shines through his dedication to discovering fresh sounds and championing emerging artists. Starting out as a bedroom DJ in his first share house, Poynstar quickly honed his skills at house parties before landing his first club gig at Bloom in Geelong in early 2022. Now a resident DJ at Bloom and a regular at Captain, he’s made a name for himself with sets that balance high energy and carefully curated tracks. While Poynstar's focus has been on DJing for the past five years, he’s recently begun exploring production and has plans to delve into vinyl DJing, further expanding his creative repertoire. With his sights set on the future, Poynstar is definitely one to watch as he continues to grow and evolve in the scene.

Growing up in a household filled with music, Bruna Bruna was surrounded by sound from an early age. With his mum being a singing teacher and his brother DJing for years, it was only natural that he found his way behind the decks. His brother’s deep knowledge of different styles exposed him to a wide range of influences, leading him to explore genres like UKG, minimal trance, and jungle—sounds that now define his sets. Drawing inspiration from artists like Club Angel and Eva, Bruna Bruna blends high-energy selections with infectious grooves, keeping dance floors locked in from start to finish.
Having been DJing for over three years, he’s spent time refining his craft, but it wasn’t until turning 18 last year that he started bringing his sound to live crowds. Most recently, he made his debut at Bloom, playing under @osmosisjones1er—another step forward in an already exciting journey. His mix features an unreleased edit from @mikey-ashworth-686718837, adding to the deep cuts and dynamic selections that make his sets stand out. Now, with a growing presence in the scene, Bruna Bruna is only just getting started. Keep a keen eye and ear out for this young talent.

Initially crafting music with analog sequencers, his production has evolved into a seamless fusion of hardware and software, refining his ability to shape immersive sonic experiences.

With influences spanning from Rødhåd and Stef Mendesidis to Future.666, his vision is locked onto the dancefloor—where pulsating rhythms and hypnotic progressions take hold without mercy. About the artist,

With five years of production experience under various aliases, Issell has explored a range of genres, but over the past year and a half, his focus has been locked onto techno. His passion for music production was sparked by 90s and early 2000s hip-hop, drawn in by the addictive beats of producers like J Dilla and Madlib. That foundation of groove and rhythm now carries into his techno productions, where he blends intricate minimalism with driving energy.

A major shift in his creative process came in 2023 when he moved to Melbourne, immersing himself in the city’s thriving underground scene. Meeting local producers and DJs—especially artists like Jerb—introduced him to fresh sounds and new perspectives, pushing his artistry further. Now, his influences range from Alarico and Isaiah to Bailey Ibbs and Kuss, inspired by their ability to do so much with so little.

Issell is now carving out his own space in the scene, recently dropping two tracks, "Out of Time" and "Impulse", that showcase the new direction of his sound. With his craft evolving rapidly, keep and eye on him as you won’t want to miss out.

About the artist, 

Melbourne-based producer LUBU has been crafting beats for nearly a decade, but it wasn’t until 2022 that he fully honed in on his club-focused sound. His first SoundCloud release, BEENLOOKING, quickly gained traction, setting the stage for his journey into the underground scene. Since then, he’s been refining his style, blending influences from across the spectrum, and expanding his reach through proper distribution. Now, with a sharpened sound and a growing catalog, he’s looking to step behind the decks and bring his music to life on the dancefloor.

Originally cutting his teeth on J Dilla-style beats and recreating Tyler, The Creator instrumentals, LUBU’s production took a turn in 2019 when he was introduced to house and techno—majorly influenced by acts like X CLUB. That inspiration runs deep in his work today, with sounds reminiscent of Sewerslvt, Baugruppe90, and Mark Broom. With a new release dropping on Spotify on March 13 and a collab EP in the works, there’s plenty more to come.

Hailing from Ballarat, Phoenix James has been immersed in music for as long as he can remember. Teaching himself to DJ at 15 with a pair of DDJ-200s, he’s since carved out a name for himself, landing sets at Turbo300, Levels, and the American Hotel, along with a feature mix for LMNK UK. With a love for deep, driving grooves across house, techno, and beyond, his selections are always dynamic and unpredictable—built to keep the energy high.

Producing for the past three years, Phoenix has explored a range of sounds, from house and deep house to UKG and techno. Now, with his first hardgroove track, he’s pushed himself further than ever, delivering a release that showcases his evolving style. Taking influence from names like Chris Stussy, Olav Basoski, Kettama, and IPC, he’s constantly refining his craft, blending inspirations to create something uniquely his own. Expect plenty more where this came from with a track he’s been working on for over 6 months so you can imagine the damage that will do.

FERRARO is already carving out his space in the scene at just 17. After witnessing Lucas Boston behind the decks at a mate’s 21st, he was instantly hooked—diving headfirst into the world of electronic music. Since then, he’s been soaking up the sounds at bush doofs and events, using every experience to refine his craft and push his sound forward.

FERRARO started his production journey in mid-2024, he first locked in on hardgroove but has since been expanding into a more dynamic approach, experimenting with tribal hardgroove, euphoric hard house, and trance. With his sights set on playing at some of Victoria’s biggest festivals like Pitch, Beyond the Valley, and A3, he’s putting in the work to make it happen.

With influences ranging from Tommy Holohan, Lucas Boston, 6 Sense and Ned Bennet, to Sam Alfred and X-Coast, his music blends captivating synths with high-energy grooves. First introduced to the world of DJing through stüm’s iconic sets for BTV and Hör, what began as casual sessions on a DDJ-200 with a few mates quickly evolved into something far deeper. Now, after months of refining his sound and sharpening his selections, Fletch delivers a mix that feels focused, mature, and unmistakably him.

Back in action, and this time we’ve got MIKE! stepping in for the latest instalment of our mix series. With nearly a decade behind the decks, MIKE! brings a rare blend of polish and passion that’s been years in the making. From getting his start on Virtual DJ at 13, to spinning vinyl a year later (shoutout Skimmy Musik), the Toronto based DJ has been locked in ever since—soaking up influences from radio shows, family connections, and his own relentless drive to keep improving.
This mix is a no-nonsense roller stacked with energy and heat, including two of his own productions: “BOOYAH (FESTIVAL MIX)” and “SUCKER (SPEEDY MIX)”, plus a heater from Mitchell Watson at the 35-minute mark. No unreleaseds here—just tried and tested material that hits where it should.
With a promise to drop a track every month in 2025, MIKE! is entering a new chapter. Decade one was the warm-up.

For rudeboy, the journey kicked off over a decade ago when Chemical Energy by Will Sparks first hit his ears. The energy, the crowds, the clips, it all stuck. After jumping between borrowed decks and eventually grabbing his own setup in 2019, he’s been locked in ever since, steadily refining a sound that blends big-room momentum with raw underground grit.

His latest mix is a taste of that vision, featuring his own unreleased heater TO THA RHYTHM and standout cuts from friends like Hayden Trotter’s DRIFT and 22mm by Glen West & 2hot2play. A love for Australia’s festival scene first pulled DJ RIPPER into the world of electronic music. Watching videos from Pitch and BTV sparked a curiosity that quickly turned into obsession. What started as a hobby three years ago with his first decks has now grown into something far more serious, with RIPPER refining his sound and pushing for bigger stages.
This mix is packed with the kind of energy you’d expect from someone inspired by wide-open dancefloors and big-system sound, straightforward, raw, and locked in. With his first single in the works and upcoming sets at Nerve and Sound Bar in Bendigo, RIPPER’s carving out his space in the scene one set at a time. Keep your eye on him.

For Phoenix James, DJing runs in the blood. With an uncle who was active during Melbourne’s iconic minimal era, it was only a matter of time before the decks called. Self-taught and five years deep, Phoenix has spent his time digging, learning, and locking into a sound rooted in rhythm and groove.
This mix dives headfirst into the archives of 90s, early 2000s, and deep cuts from lesser-known artists that still hold weight on the dance floor. While there are no unreleased tracks in this set, Phoenix has stacks of his own original tunes ready and waiting to be released, expect some of those to start dropping very soon.

Bailey Cole’s journey behind the decks began after seeing clips of Stüm’s 2022 BTV set along with seeing INTAKT guest Courtney play at a friend’s 18th, blending genres with ease and dropping weapons that pushed Bailey to take things seriously.
Nearly three years into DJing, Bailey’s played everything from house parties to bar and club gigs, always showing a knack for track selection. While this mix doesn’t include unreleased material, his dedication to digging from recorded sets to Bandcamp deep dives, means you’ll hear gems that rarely surface elsewhere.
With a new residency at Dapper Events up at Mt Buller and an eye on production, Bailey’s next step is clear. Expect a debut single later this year, with a focus on the sounds of Speed Garage and UKG. One for the diggers.

Hailing from Traralgon, just a few hours outside of Melbourne, DJ 2GRÜVY4U may only be 17, but he’s already four years deep into producing and mixing. Starting out at house parties, he’s now setting his sights on club systems and bigger crowds, armed with a sound that’s evolved from early tech-house obsessions into something harder, faster, and more refined.
His latest EP “TAKE YA BRAIN” is a clear statement of where he’s headed, 2 tracks with vastly different styles, from hypnotic synths and vocals, to groovy and uplifting piano. Influences like Daria Kolosova, Clouds, and Kyle Starkey shine through, but it’s the individuality of his direction that cuts through.
With a new duo project GRÜVTRANQ alongside james.grxntt now in motion, expect this release to be just the beginning of what’s to come.

Haslauer has been mixing for about a year and a half, after falling in love with the sound and energy of the underground club scene as soon as he turned 18. Drawn to the darker, less commercial side of the scene, he’s spent the last year developing a tight, high-energy style, blending captivating drums, hypnotic basslines, and hooking synths.
While there are no unreleased tracks in this mix, he’s been working on production behind the scenes, with original music set to drop in the coming weeks. Expect deep grooves, gritty textures, and a continuation of the sound he’s been building behind the decks.

STUZIE’s journey into DJing started long before he touched a set of decks, back in high school, when he was deep into EDM while everyone around him was chasing rap or pop hits. That early passion only grew as he started going to parties and seeing older mates behind the decks. But the moment it all clicked came at Schoolies, surrounded by massive energy, packed dance floors, and one person commanding the groove, he knew he had to be that one person.
Fast forward almost four years, and that spark has turned into a sharpened craft. While STUZIE is usually in the studio producing trance and hard house, this mix is all about curation, weaving a journey from start to finish. Outside of the booth, he runs “Under The Radar”, a project dedicated to spotlighting small artists through short-form videos that break down and showcase their tracks, giving them the recognition they deserve.
With a growing presence in the scene and a deep ear for quality, STUZIE is one to keep an eye on.

Lachie Burns’ love for electronic music started young, way back when someone first showed him Pendulum at age 12. That moment kicked off an obsession with EDM, which grew through a heavy American influence of Skrillex and the OWSLA crew, before evolving into a deep appreciation for older progressive sounds and the thrill of unearthing hidden gems. It’s this passion for fun, often-forgotten tracks that led him to vinyl, where his sets lean into timeless selections you won’t hear elsewhere.

With over a decade behind the decks, Lachie has built a reputation for carefully crafted sets that balance nostalgia with surprise. While he doesn’t produce music anymore, his crate is packed with rarities, from a CD-only version of Roka’s Intergalactic EP to a Pat Foosheen vinyl from 2002, tracks that add a unique edge to every performance.

Recently, he’s been making regular appearances at Captains, including an upcoming night alongside Bruna Bruna for Club Captains, and has just released a There There On Air set on YouTube that showcases his style in full force.
