Timekeeping Exhibition – Clock Room at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum.
The room contained a variety of different timepieces from grandfather clocks and pocket-watches to more antiquated mechanisms. Not all of the clocks were producing an audible sound, but I moved slowly around the room to take in different combinations of ticking sounds. You’ll occasionally hear other people passing through the room as well as some of my lumbering footsteps.

My first ever all-modular live set for the June edition of Modular on the Spot - PDX. 
I wanted to try doing something more rhythmic with more upfront melodies for a change.  The main melodies are primarily Make Noise 0-coast being sequenced by Monome Ansible and being resampled in the ER-301.  The drones are all from the 4MS SWN. Textures + wurlitzer samples are coming from a 2hp Play + ER-301.  All the reverb comes from via Audio Damage EOS + Æverb modules. Pamela's New Workout from ALM/Busy Circuits is providing all of the clocks + LFOs.
This live set was recorded directly to a 4MS WAV Recorder module.

r beny is the electronic ambient project of Bay Area-based artist, Austin Cairns. Finding inspiration in the wonder and volatility of nature and human emotion, Cairns uses modular synthesizers, samplers, and tape loops to weave together a sonic bouquet of organic textures, blissful waves of drone, and decaying melodies carved out of mountains of noise.

Ambient music that is sometimes dusty and at times sleepy.  Utilizing acoustic instruments, found sounds, alongside synthesized and sampled material, Jason creates textured, melodic, collage-like works.

Under his previous moniker of 'bubblegone,' Jason has preformed at a number of venues and alternative spaces often along visual accompaniment of similar aesthetics.
