The year is 2081. Earth lies in ruin, decimated by endless wars and a relentless plague that swept across continents like fire through dry bone. Cities are crumbled echoes of what once was. Nature has reclaimed some lands, but most of the planet is a scorched wasteland — a graveyard of rusted machines, broken dreams, and forgotten names.

The few who remain wander these ruins, scavenging the remnants of a civilization that destroyed itself. Survival is brutal. Hope is scarce.

But sometimes — just sometimes — when the dust storms die down and the wind cuts through the silence in just the right way, a sound drifts through the air. A haunting melody. A pulse. A distant rhythm that doesn't belong to this world. Survivors speak of it in whispers, around dying fires, in shattered shelters buried beneath twisted metal. No one knows where it comes from. Some say it’s a relic from the old world, a signal bouncing endlessly through time. Others believe it’s a message, or a warning, or a memory refusing to die.

They only agree on one thing.
