Nina Kraviz launches her трип (pronounced ‘trip’) label with a double-EP compilation entitled ’The Deviant Octopus’, featuring a pair of brand new productions from Kraviz alongside material from Terrence Dixon, emerging talent Parrish Smith & Bjarki, and veteran producers Exos & Steve Stoll.

Label boss Stefano Noferini and Hollen team up for the the monstrous "Rediscovered", which fires on all cylinders with steamrolling drums, massive synth washes and commanding stabs. Miguel Bastida steps up for the remix and strips things down quite a bit, with a sticky bassline filling in the gaps between the bubbling rhythm section, yet adding a lengthy breakdown for added suspense and excitement.

Montel is relatively new to the world of electronic music but in a short amount of time he has quickly risen to the top of the game. Starting out by laying a strong foundation he released a series of vinyl only releases that caught the eye of many of the biggest names in the industry. Since getting his start in 2012 he has released records on renowned labels such as Bedrock, Leftroom, Knee Deep In Sound, and Material just to name a few. 

Now making his Mobilee debut on Leena Music with his “Within” EP he presents two solid tracks that showcase his signature sound of pure unadulterated house music. Focusing on heavy grooves and classic rhythmic soundscapes these tracks have one goal in mind to send the listener straight to the dance floor with a sense of raw energy and intoxicating motivation. Having already built a strong representation of music in just a few short years we’re sure to hear more from this natural talent in the sets and clubs of the future.

Intec is known to many a fan of House and Techno as a scene leading label set up by the iconic Carl Cox who has been at the forefront of DJ culture since the early 90’s.

With a roster of artists including the label boss himself plus Nicole Moudaber, Jon Rundell, Marco Bailey, Carlo Lio, Cristian Varela and Dosem amongst many others of a similar calibre.

This new release is from newcomer Jonno Brien, whose previous releases on labels such as Bush Records and Naked Lunch have picked up heavy DJ support from the likes of Ben Sims, Christian Varela and Todd Terry.

One of the people also regularly playing Jonno’s music has been Carl Cox, who has now invited him into the Intec family, with this stunning solo EP.

A respected DJ in his home country of Ireland and regular gigs playing alongside the likes of Dave Clarke and Slam, Jonno has also become recognised for his distinctive production style. Fusing elements of old school industrial techno with crisp and modern percussion to create a rolling groove tailored for even the most hard to please dancefloors.

Track one titled “Rollin” is named after its rolling groove, brought to life with shuffling hi-hats and tearing percussion. Lead by the dramatic chords of the building lead synth, the tracks hard hitting claps deliver a punishing sense of satisfaction.

“Move” is a statement as much as it is a title, its furious acid line commands physical movement in the form of dancing from all who listen. Impossible to resist the track is packed with a pulsating energy that erupts with venomous force as the menacing acid morphs, twists and turns.

More Raw - A veritable storm of high-octane drum work throws this track into a sprint from the moment it starts, pitching listeners into what sounds and feels like a festival unto itself. Multi-layered, vibrant, and never lacking an abundance of creativity, repeated plays only reveal more to love from a song with this much going on for it.

It seems like waiting for a new Pan-Pot EP is a yearly occurrence, considering the duo’s heavy, globe trotting tour schedule, so to have a follow up from them just four months after their recent ‘Funke’ EP is a grandiose surprise to say the least. Over the span of five flawlessly executed tracks, Pan-Pot deliver a swarm of dance floor destructors of unforgettable moments for the 50th release of their 'Second State' label. Kicking things off is the warehouse-ready EP ‘Weltlinie’ where an impeccable equilibrium of abrasive percussion and warm pads forge themselves into a timeless cut suitable for tonight, tomorrow or twenty years from now. Switching gears, ‘Startphase’ sees Pan-Pot at their most recognizable as they deliver a rapid fire tune where a massive sonic barrage of one repetitive sound creates a hypnotic ride into euphoric territories. Quite possibly their simplest track of the EP, ‘Exzentrisch’ follows their minimalist approach as one pattern is played by nearly all the elements, constantly deviating which sound takes center stage, resulting in a monotonous, yet always interesting composition that is sure to boost the energy level of any size room to unfathomable heights. Nearly rounding out the EP is ‘Zeit’ where rapid fire percussion and pitch shifting cymbals set the stage for a wicked lead melody that slowly becomes engulfed by hefty sonic bursts creating the perfect melodic balance for a big room tune. Wrapping up the EP is ‘Freigeist’, and with a nod to their early Perlon influences the two churn out a killer 15 minute journey of organic drums and lush atmospheres ideal for open airs and after-hours.
