Intel SGX helps create a trusted execution environment where applications bring their own security, allowing those apps to run in a secure enclave. This allows customers utilizing cloud services to maintain the security of their own apps even while running in an untrusted cloud. A prime example is their solution for disrupting the Hardware Security Module (HSM) with a less costly, more manageable, and more scalable cloud-native key management service.
