Rizzle - Placid

Intellectz (ne Gregory L. DeShields Jr.) was born April 2, 1986 in Los Angeles, California. At the age of seven, Virginia became the permanent home of Intellectz. Just at the age of ten, Intellectz became intrigued with writing Poetry, Lyrics and Prose. After listening to Nas’ “Illmatic”, AZ’s “Do Or Die” and Big L’s “The Big Picture” LP, Intellectz’ interest was drawn into Hip-Hop as a culture. Years of just countless writing, honing his craft, Intellectz finally began to create music for the first time in 2008. After speaking to a friend, an Atlanta bred artist named 2C, Intellectz constructed his first mixtape, “The Pre-Deployment”. “The Pre-Deployment” was placed on Facebook & ReverbNation for streaming (Winter 2009). While stationed in Bethesda, Maryland (2010), Intellectz met another aspiring artist, Christopher “Dru-P” Pradia. Intellectz & Dru-P decided to form a team/label, “New Game Plan (NGP)”. Both artist dropped cuts “My Loves Too Good”, “NGP Suite (Marvin’s Room Remix)” & “NGP Ambition (Ambition Remix)” as a collaborative pair, receiving high praise in the DMV Area.

Intellectz released his project, "Layers of LaMont" June 4th, 2021. He is preparing to release his new project, "Judah's Lineage" in the near future. His first single, "Heaven's Kiss" featuring Tony Mohogany, is now available on all DSP's.
