When I received the proposal to participate in the 5th edition of Temple, during the after-hours slot called Baptistery, I immediately knew I had the opportunity to do something completely different from what I'm used to. So, without thinking too much, I dove into my most personal records, trying to select tracks that have influenced me over the years.

You don’t always get the chance to showcase a more intimate side during a dance set, so I’m incredibly grateful to Josephine and Camu for the opportunity to put the finishing touch on such a special day as we experienced at Temple Chapter #5. And, of course, many thanks to the brave souls who stayed until the very end. XO

Framework presents the fourth edition of TOWER Imports, a limited mix series designed to incorporate international artists into New York's TOWER project.

This entry comes from Eastern Distributor, the stage name of Naarm-based artist Daniel Jakobsson, a versatile creator pushing the boundaries of electronic music.

Eastern Distributor focuses on a rich tapestry of deep, syncopated basslines and minimalist, crisp percussion. Tracks unfold with ambient, evolving soundscapes that create an atmospheric backdrop, inviting exploration and introspection within its rhythmic foundation. 

"I'm so excited to be sharing this mix for the Framework/TOWER series. I love the concept, this particular mix is inspired by the glass component in the construction of the tower. I leant toward choosing dynamically wide tracks; low end and layered high frequency percussion. One and a half hours of shifting between experimental, dubstep, liquid and plenty of tek. Sciama's soundscapes are accompanied by an essay of writer and researcher Asia Bazdyrieva. Pixels densely packed*** expands on the contemporary media surrounds that wrap and entrap us. From Nothing was born the snake, with its sinuous forms, which preceded creation itself. Before the world was shaped by the hands of the gods, it writhed in the chaotic waters of Dervaza, also known as the primordial land, and there it found its realm. There was no order, no life, only the eternal whisper of chaos, and within it, the snake thrived, coiling upon itself in a burning spiral.

As the snake curled through the void, Marmo's Dervaza, the debut EP of Stagno Records, emerges to guide listeners on a journey through tumult and genesis, stirring silent contemplation and sparking a search for secrets submerged in shadow. The EP features four tracks, complemented by two remixes from Aa Sudd and Spekki Webu, each characterized by elevated rhythms and an immersive soundscape. "In the year 2147, Earth is a world ravaged by ecological catastrophe and endless conflict, where the remnants of past civilisations are scattered across a desolate landscape. The few survivors struggle to survive in technologically advanced enclaves, while nature, now hostile, slowly reasserts its rights over the ruins of ancient metropolises."

Diapasøn, a passionate and versatile artist, has had a deep interest in music and playing instruments of all kinds from an early age. It was in 2012 that he fully immersed himself in the world of electronic music, a way for him to fully express his passion for contemporary influences.

In 2015, he founded Cosmic Wave, initially as a collective, quickly evolving into a label that he has been managing since 2017 with releases including 9beats, Vardae, dc11, Atoloi, Mersel and more recently Valentino Mora.
A lover of vinyl, he fashions a unique sonic universe, navigating between ambient and psychedelic techno. His captivating music creates soundscapes imbued with emotion and bewitching textures.
